I really like this tower. With the height of 438m it reminds me Kingkey. If it was build in some interesting place, the tower should be pretty cool project. Maybe this place will rise up some day, but itīs a quite long way to go. Iīm just wondering how expensive this building was. I must admit that I donīt understand why Wuhan has so many supertall and one megatall project. Wuhan is mega city for almost 10 million people, but it would be never as interesting as Shenzhen for example. Shenzhen has nice beaches, Wuhan just brown river. Shenzhen is also surrounded with HK and Guangzhou. Interesting city for tourists. China should make another Shanghai from Shenzhen and Guangzhou, than the cities would have some promotion in TV. Whereīs the point of building Eiffel Tower in Toulouse for example?

Nah, I like that all cities are getting some nice projects. So no matter in which city you'll find a job, you'll have nice projects close. As long as it's a big city and in china

Thatīs not exactly what I meant. I simply donīt think that 450 m building should be build on a field. I rate skyscrapers by - 1. design, 2. height, 3. surroundings. And this is my rating for this building - design 9/10, height 9/10, surroundings 2/10. Worse surroundings gives worse promotion. Somebody once said - If I had the last 3 USD, Iīd spend 2 of them for promotion. 10 of 10 highest buildings of USA stands in NY and Chicago, they know it. They making city for tourists, because they want maximum profit from all projects. The same is true about UAE.

The surroundings will come - in 10 years this area will be a huge CBD. Actually, it has a very good location within Wuhan.

Wuhan is a megacity with more than 10 million people and the biggest city in central China. What's wrong with a river? Seoul has a river too. China is too big to just have Beijing, Tianjin, Shanghai, Shenzhen, Guangzhou and Hong Kong as megacities. Now when the interior of China develops then new megacities are going to shine, these are the megacities in the interior of China right now: Chengdu, Chongqing, Wuhan.
Xi'an, Zhengzhou, Nanjing, and Hangzhou are near megacity status too.

The river looks polluted, brown. https://www.google.cz/search?q=wuhan...Zn_33VEA43M%3A Maybe the situation is better now, donīt know. Maybe it depends on part of the year. I really didnīt want to say that they should build supertalls just in those cities. I canīt help myself, I simply dont like Wuhan as Shenzhen for example. The city has sea, beaches, mountains... And of course, more people than Wuhan. Wuhan will have in 2020 one megatall and 2 x 400 m+ buildings. But would never be nice city for the river. When the river will look like river in HK for example, maybe Iīll start to like the city.

But at the moment Iīve found some nice video of Wuhan. The city looks quite beautiful. On some pictures the river looks very nice, on other pictures it doesnīt. I donīt know what to think. Wuhan has 2 rivers? Why is one polluted and the other not? Please tell me, many thanks https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hsseRWoi_44

It's not pollution mainly but just the natural geological mud and stuff like that. And HK doesn't have a river by the way.
So you are saying that cities without seas and beaches are boring?
Interesting opinion
