Lovely photo thread, paderwan! I could need some refill, though

Any photos of the Christmas season?

Nice! Perhaps worth a visit then visiting Berlin, as it is very close.

Nice looking older buildings.

Curious though... how well do newer buildings "fit" into streets that have older classical looking buildings?

I'm glad to see these pics. I think these non-tourist areas provide a more positive portrayal of Potsdam than that main pedestrianized street that I always see pics of. That street to me is actually almost ugly, or at the least, not impressive. It's the only part of the city of Potsdam outside of the palaces (which are beautiful) that seems to ever be photographed. It gave me the impression that if I were to visit Potsdam I would see the palaces and leave because that street is portrayed as the only thing to visit outside of the palace complex. I see now that the city itself is much more beautiful than I had suspected. Thanks!

Also, my brother is going to school in Berlin and he told me he hasn't seen the sun once since the autumn.

It looks like the sun was able to pop through a bit on this nice day in January! I think my brother must be an exaggerator.

Nice pictures of a beautiful city! You can find more recent winterpictures of Potsdam (and Berlin) from page 31 in this thread!
