I'm pretty sure the bus is re-painted, and this with very bad-quality, diluted paint. If you're staying in Moscow you can't ignore that!
I do not see corrosion on Ikaras

Of course some buses are re-repainted, but not because of corrosion. They are re-painted because of scratches or damages. Moscow use buses for 8-9 years and it's very difficult to use without scratches or damages so some buses are re-painted. It is not only in Moscow. It's everywhere.

Please post photos with rusty Moscow buses. I want to see it

I am wondering if Moscow is experiencing water shortage issues like Beijing?

Once I take some pics, I'll definitely show it. Scratches and especially damages are not worked out well. I've already said about the painting quality. Just compare it with what happens to the busses in Europe, for example, they way they are painted. In Moscow, it's not the case, unfortunately. They use low-cost diluted, usually not-for-vehicles-oriented paint which can be used only for wooden fences.

There IS corrosion, believe me. Usually you can see it on the edge of the wing, above the wheel, and of course, on the doors. And by the way, corrosion develops also after damages because of bad maintenance.

And, speaking about damages due to accidents for example... Just come to Kutuzovsly avenue which is considered to be one of the most prestigious and luxurious avenues of Moscow and have a look on the buses that run there. Rusty, crooked bumpers, very badly, carelessly painted even up to the windows - and so on.

I understand being proud of Russia but that's surely not the line.

Are you sure? You are wrong. You can see re-painted buses, but sometimes they do not polish it. Thats why paints look mat.

Moscow started to receive the first air conditionned Metro trains since this year

How dare you say that? Those are masterpieces of Soviet engineering.
Besides, these oldies are way more comfortable than new ones since they have soft foam rubber seats unlike plastic shit covered with felt slice in these new trolleybuses.
