The Best of 2008 | Looking Ahead into 2009
What skyscraper/highrise was completed this year? Slow year?
Almaty got its first-ever skyscraper with the addition of JW Marriott Tower, but in Astana things didn't go as smoothly with several tower placed on hold. Let's make a recap of things that have happened on the market last year. What are you hopes for 2009?

The Best of 2008.
- Completion of AFD and Esentai Tower. - Appletown project got financing and construction started. - Completed projects in Astana: Congress Hall and Bridge over Esil. - Cancellation of Almaly. - F.ck nothing to add!!!  Hopes for 2009. - Finally complete all projects on hold in Almaty CDC - Kempinski, Yantarnyi, Esentai Park. - Proceed with ALA Airport Expansion, BAKAD, Subway. - Regions: Aktau, Atyrau, Shymkent and others has to take their turns. - Complete Astana Stadium, Khan Shatyr, Shymbulak. - Get prepared for Asian Games. |
