showing BAT versions, or landmarks, of real buildings was not the purpose of this thread...maybe you could never tell that, or see what else had been going on in this thread, before you decided to show the BATmarks in your city, which wasn't the point, as they're obviously reality buildings (unless you spotted variable similarities, like BAT buildings that aren't real buildings but are a lot like real buildings, like the others shown in this thread.

I think it's based on Park Row, or at least another NYC Central Park building.

I think it doesn't look like the Park Row Building, those spires look more like
the Waldorf Astoria. Compare: http://www.skyscraperpage.com/cities/?buildingID=2165

^ thanks, i knew it looked like one of the old NYC buildings, but couldn't find exactly which one, except for Park Row which was closest.

@ Woko

I have found another real building on this picture of Woko.

The grey office building in the left is a copy of the Daily News Building in NY.

Check this:

i found your BUILDING IN SHINJUKU, and its only similarity to Waco is the cladding; the building has a totally different shape on one side, instead of being straight on both sides.

My citys never grow like this. Once they get to around 150k, development halts, the city's plagued with the ugly black buildings, and my industry dead. Anyone got any tip's to get city's like you've got?

You're not allowed to take photos from skyscrapers.com (or any other website unless they write it's okay). You could atleast have givin me/skyscrapers.com credit for the photo you "borrowed/stole/whatever" but you didn't...that's why I ask you to remove it. If people ask me if they can use my photos it's normally no problem but I would like to decide myself who uses my shots.
I'm going to make this short -

While I agree with you about the broader concept of copyright, I would just like to comment that I think you are overreacting in a larger sense.

IMO you've taken the time, effort, and skill to produce that picture(s). And I can understand your desire for credit, or if the photo that's in question was used for a commercial project.

But this is a website forum. It's like complaining about eatting cheap food when you're sitting in a McDonald's. Ask for the cred - but don't make it you're bloody life.

You can think what you want, but it doesn't change the fact that it was my photo. If people want to use any of my photos (which I really don't mind) the least the can do is ask for permission or give me the credit for it.

Anyway, this case was solved a long time ago and I don't see any reason to waste more time on it.

On with the discussion.....
