European City Compilation (part 2)

In part 2 i show you a compilation of my pictures from Marseille, Brussel, Liege, Barcelona and more.

Marseille (France)

1.

Le Vieux Port, the old harbour.

2.

Notre Dame de la Garde between 2 uglie flatblocks.

3.

(Near) the city-center.

4.

Very steep hill near the Notre Dame de la Garde.

Amsterdam (Holland)

5.

The Damrak, near the Central Station.

6.

The famous canals.

Guildford (U.K.)

7.

The Highstreet, the main shopping street in the city-center.

8.

Typical, older Englisch houses.

Nice and Cagnes sur Mer? (France)

9.

The Mediterean Sea.

10.

Near the Central Station.

11.

I think this is Cagnes sur Mer (a city near Nice), but i'm nut sure.

Liege (Belgium)

12.

A street near the city-center.

13.

The Montagne de Bueren.

14.

Liege have some bad neighbourhoods/ suburbs, like these towers in Bressoux.

15.

The city-centre, near the Cathedral. The ambiance is very good here!

Dusseldorf (Germany)

16.

Boring buildings near the city-center.

17.

18.

The Dusseldorf-Docklands: the Media Hafen have some very interesting architecture.

23.

The football/ soccer stadium of FC Barcelona, one of the biggest stadiums in the world.

24.

View from the Montjuic hill. Barcelona is one of the most densest cities of Europe.

Eindhoven (Holland)

25

Eindhoven is famous because of the multinational Philips (Mister Philips was an inhabitant of Eindhoven) and the football club of PSV. Since 10 years the skyline is expended with a few towers with a height between approx. 90 a 100 meter.

The Philips factories.

St.-Raphael (France)

27.

28.

Geleen (Holland)

29.

Till +/- 30 years ago Geleen was a real coal mine city. When the mines closed many people found work in the huge chemical plant (the multinational DSM). Here a social housing estate with in the background the industry.

30.

A new shopping mall and appartments in the city center. The most buildings in the city-center were build between 1930 till 1970.
