No the Porpoise spit scenes were filmed around Cooloongatta. The story does have some real life connections between the director and some of his family members. It also draws on some of the dodgy development practices of the then Tweed Shire Council.

About 15km North. Basically is the same place as it is all considered to be the Sunshine Coast.

Doors may not be opened.
