I think steyn, morkel and ntini arent feeling to good about themselves...esp 1st innings
but this loss aint all bad. will help us realize aus aint pushovers and that we cant just arrive and expect to be weenas. well done to aussies-they deserve it. but if they beat us again-they can go f off. i cant handle a series loss esp siddle!

And that was the sound of our boys coming back to earth. I think its the best thing that could have happened. Maybe now they will pull up their socks and win the other two tests.

Pak will not host games in the 2011 World Cup: ICC
CALL IT an aftermath of the attack on the Sri Lankan cricket team members, or call it as something that was due for a long time. The ICC has decided that Pakistan will not host any of the games in the Cricket World Cup scheduled in the year 2011. It must come as little surprise for all, especially after many of the international teams like Australia, New Zealand, England and India have been boycotting touring the country for a bilateral series for a while now. Terror attack seals fate: As many as eight people died on Tuesday (March 3) when the Sri Lankan cricket team’s convoy was attacked by masked gunmen as they were on their way to the Gaddafi stadium in Lahore. Seven team members were injured, including skipper Mahela Jayawardene, Kumar Sangakkara and Thilan Samaraweera. The attacks on the Sri Lankan cricket team have prompted the ICC honchos to come out and speak. David Morgan, the president of the ICC has branded Pakistan as “Clearly a very dangerous place in the current situation." He also said that drastic improvements have to be seen in the security measures of the players if at all Pakistan has to host any game at all in the near future, let alone the World Cup games. He added that international cricket in Pakistan is out of the question until there is a change in the regime and the country becomes safe and peaceful again. Schedule changes for the World Cup: Pakistan was one of the hosts of the 2011 World Cup, an event which was to be hosted jointly by the four countries of the Indian sub-continent. Sharad Pawar, who is in its organising committee, said that there would possibly be several schedule changes for the tournament. He is expecting communication from many of the participating teams on whether they would like to play in Pakistan or not. The top level management of the ICC has been communicated with the grave situation in Pakistan and a meeting is scheduled to be held between the management and the organising committee sometime next week, said Pawar. This clearly looks to be the end of the road for cricket to be hosted in Pakistan. Anyway, a country in the international spotlight of terror could never have carried on as a safe host for sporting events. A disastrous head on collision was inevitable and that indeed is what we are seeing now! |

not a good ending, some big moves made in dropping and including new players to the team, we've got nothing to lose so might as well give it a try.

So I see Prince has gotten off to a good start in the SS series by opening for the CObra's, 171* so far & Dolphins bowler Abdullah take 3 wickets ( who has been chosen for the T20 side). Imraan Khan is yet to bat. Lets hope these guys can take their performance onto the International level

Listen, this was a thumping win.
Ozzies play it down of course - compare the reaction to their reaction when they won the other 'dead rubber' in Sydney - they went on like they had won the world cup. Now they pretend it doesn't matter, but it does. We made their bowlers look lie pie chuckers. We scored 3 centuries in one innings. AB equalled the test record for consequetive sixes. We destroyed any hope they have of settling on a spin option. We have the wood on Ponting for sure. And Hussey - it was there heaviest defeat in a decade. All this just before the one-dayers - it means everything! And we should be focusing on that. We took the silverware 4-1 in the one dayers over there. If we do the same here, we certainly finish the summer well on top. Go boys - and bring Tsotsobe straight in to the side, rotate him with Parnell, and we are cooking! |
