Great to see India and South Africa becoming ever closer friends, in sport and business.
And to Mkhaya, we love you and happy retirement. Great send-off. |

There was a rubbish article about MM stadium, where the guy failed to recognize that they were playing cricket on an oval field NOT a square soccer field.
So much for credibility. So many excuses made in the article even though 55,000 tickets were sold. If there are any cricket specific "facilities" needed I'm sure it will not cost much to get them. Neither will adding grass areas/embankments break the bank. |

It was a great event - the volume of noise for Mkhaya was skin tingling - and thats what the whole thing was about. Never mind twats looking for negatives.
Now, what do we think about Tahir and Faf in the sqaud? Quite promising I think - two leggies suddenly! |

Well its good to see we finally got a spinner that can turn the ball, not like Harris...
The game at Moses was a huge success, heard its happening again next year, not sure if it will be with India and if a concert will follow but sources at KZNCU said that CSA are keen on hosting it again. Durban Council will only be too happy as it will bring more revenue to the stadium. |

Yip, I was just trying to differentiate between how much can actually go to the stadium, depending on what services the city will provide.
If the services are "city expenses" not linked to the event, then all profits can go to the stadium, but if not, revenues are chewed into by direct expenses. |

True, plus with the multiple sponsors now involved it could get more tricky but the city should stick to a set figure or work out some deal with CSA if it is to become an annual event.

They should have picked Albie Morkel - we are desperate for decent allrounder at 6 or 7, and he plays IPL, knows the grounds etc.
And Boucher - for the world cup, of course! They could comfortably leave our Ingram and Peterson and Parnell to accomodate these guys, and maybe a Rusty Theron or David Millar... |

I don't know about you guys but BOUCHER has lost the touch on the crease.all he was now good at was a decent wk and trust me i reckon i can emulate that.however,B would have been better than Parnell, who ofcourse i think is very expensive on the ball.Q,when was the last time BOUCHER got a century?

Well, we won the one-day series and well deserved!
Lopsy was unlucky not to get man of the series, he is a great prospect and I think he will do even better in the sub-continent with his clever pace changes. Its interesting - if you look at the stats, we completely dominated this summer against India. 7 centuries scored in the tests - we scored 5 of them! We had the top runscorers and bowlers in both tests and one dayers. So at least we came out on top, marginally, in the end. Bring on the review system as well, because there is no doubt India benefitted hugely from not having it in this series (remember they vetoed its use). But fantastic cricket between the worlds two top sides. |

Miller is a hitter, but Morne van Wyk is probably even a bigger hitter. If they play him at 6 or 7, with Johan Botha to follow, then we are back in business...

I dont think it was a bad decision to drop Boucher, his form of recent wasnt so good and to pic him on merit besides performance would have been stupid seeing how our previous WCs went. I agree Albie should have been selected, with Tahir and Botha in the squad already I dont see the need for Peterson.
