Personally, I find this airport to have more 'substance' as compared to other new Asian airport terminals. Everything is well-designed and I can't find one flaw based on the pictures. Singapore really does set a higher standard in airport design.

Everything is nice and spacious! Except one thing. Who chose the carpet design? Its way too ugly. I like the water mist by the way.

I like it!! It has some great components and looks huge and is nice lighted..The unfortunate part is the flooring-- it's just not nice and honestly takes away from the overall feel of the airport. Otherwise, it looks like a great airport to pass through.

The architecture is very impressive...I agree, the floor is too distracting.

Agreed. The carpet is like.. err, damaged by vehicles which left some imprints?
but other than that, an absolutely fantastic terminal!
just wishing SQ hadn't planned to split their flights between T2 and T3, really going to be a headache for arriving passengers.

The tour guide recommend the toilet b4 we proceed to the viewing mall....here's the reason.....

36. "releasing" into nature...... (thats the green wall btw)

37. Hotel-like ambience toilet

38.And then we proceed to the 3rd storey, where most viewing mall and most restaurant are located....

39. How it looks while going up

40. Finally, I'm near the circular structure which will be taken by crystal jade

Is that a window or a mirror? I wonder if anyone can see from the outside?

OVERALL. The design quality is terrific.

Five Stars.

i think the floor itself is quite well-designed. just that when it is viewed together with the ceiling, it's like what Superchan7 has mentioned, a bit distracting, as both appear to give people a "messy" and "random" kind of feeling. IMO, a more plain and simple design of the floor (maybe the carpets as well =p), like those found in HKIA, would be a much more appropriate match.
