China is very corrupt but gets most things done fast anyway, fastest in the world actually.

I then wonder how the Chinese can do it faster than many other Asian nations... If not the US.

Anyways, will there be another runway construction for SIN too to accommodate future growth?

They are still doing some feasibility studies as to whether to convert the military airbase runay into the third runway.

Sweet. I hope Changi can have a third runway because it is a key Southeast Asian aviation hub... and I'm optimistic for its future.

Would appear the masterplan includes the military runway to be part of the future expansion at Singapore Changi...

Looks like the renovated T1 looks great, especially with the Kinetic Balls hanging from the ceiling!

Wahaha passengers wearing slippers on a flight? Now I wonder how security in my country will treat such passengers... :p I usually don't see passengers wearing slippers on board an aircraft, but I believe they are for short flights.

You haven't seen passengers wear "flip flops" on flights...?!?

At least not in my case. Sandals, yes; slippers, not that much. Maybe because I now live in a city that prefers shoes over flip flops. I wonder though where those can be found on a regular basis. (And by the way, I have not been to SIN).

Ok, matter of fact its recommended passengers travel as comfortable as possible to prevent blood clots, deep vein thrombosis etc...

True... But slippers on long-haul flights? I don't know if that's even possible, especially for SIN-EWR and SIN-LAX flights (which are rumored to be discontinued soon).

Why not? Most passengers would probably remove their shoes during the flight anyway. I wore thongs (flip flops) BKK-BNE.

Anyways, having my first Changi experience in just over a week. Looking forward to checking out T3.

As it was raining in Phuket and not knowing how the water logging problem would be preferred to wear slippers. Also were going to resort for holiday preferred to travel light.

Didn't have issues with security but got our bags checked everywhere.

In Singapore, he was asked to button up the shirt at the immigration on arrival by an aunty officer

Hmmm, I don't know then I will need to bring in a pair of slippers (or flip-flops) on my hand-carry bag so that I can change into it once I board the plane. Yet, it gets pretty cold inside an aircraft, especially if it's a long flight (say, over four hours). Mix that with high altitude, and your feet could really get the chills.
