The largest hotel in the Continental United States outside of Las Vegas is the Gaylord Opryland Resort and Convention Centre with 2,881 rooms. The hotel has about six floors.

The Manchester Grand Hyatt is the largest hotel in San Diego, California with 1,625 rooms in two towers.

Oslo's (and Norway's) tallest building is the Radisson SAS Plaza Hotel. With 673 rooms, it is also Oslo's largest hotel.

It is the New York Hilton Hotel, with 2,200 rooms and was completed in 1963 for the 1964-65 World's Fair.

in Los Angeles the largest is the Westin Bonaventure. with 1354 rooms. the Biltmore located a block away had 1500 rooms when it opened in 1923 but after several renovations the number of rooms shriveled to 683.

Here is a new one: The Cairo Marriott Palace Hotel with 1,089 rooms in two 20-storey towers and a few lowrise buildings is the largest hotel in the Cairo Metro area.

The new hotel Harbour Grand in Tin Hau has 800-odd rooms. Not sure if Hong Kong has anything bigger, but it's unlikely.
