what you do not know that choose hosting country for (2022) will be on eliminate the lowest bid has votes each round and countries with no seat or votes at FIFA of course will be eliminate from first round till we have 2 countries at last round and the country with most votes will win.
The decision whether Doha even get to participate in the vote could come as soon as the end of October when FIFA meets
Just think about it-32 teams,32 training grounds,31 travelling armies-all in the same little city-now there's a recipe for disaster, its tempting fate logistically, security wise,in terms of supply, power etc etc

It can't be done in tiny Doha without totally restricting freedom of movement,or locking up many thousands and thats not the sort of Fifa World Cup we've grown to love.
Germany had 240,000 people accredited for '06-thats more than the amount of Qatari Nationals

Qatar will get their day in the sun, albeit as a very junior partner which in itself proves something

It took a lot of arm twisting just to get FIFA to allow ONE rugby match in Cape Town the day after the opening match, which was hosted at an entirely different venue.

Thats true indeed

Police love the idea of having 2 major teams in the city and a host of neutrals. This is easy to control
Imagine USA,Iraq,Iran,Nth Korea,Algeria,Israel are all in town and the USA President wants to visit-I can't imagine that.In fact I can't imagine all those teams in the same small city at the same time
It was bad enough the threat for Rustenburg with just 2 teams

huh , do not worry about Qatar bid all you have to worry is about your country bid and should not eliminate from first round.

This has nothing to do with opinions or feelings or whether or not I support the bid and everything to do with the facts of the bid.

Answer the questions. Until you do I will assume that the nature of the WC remains beyond you, and that blind nationalism has won the day once again.

I honestly do not care whether its a Qatari or non-Qatari bid. 10 venues or even 3 in essentially 1 metropolitan region will not be allowed by FIFA today and not in 2022.
everyone knows Qatar small country and have few population this is not a surprise or some thing come on roof now FIFA would give Qatar the chance to host the world cup even there more than 1 venues in Doha or nearby there nothing hidden or not clear in Qatar bid.

FIFA has praised the short distance between venues and urges Qatar to provide logistical support for WC (more hotel rooms) which Qatar can provide easly by 2014 and will not be real problem for country like Qatar has money and grow fast.

we will dismantle part of our stadiums and will distribute 190,000 seats under the supervision of FIFA to poor countries around world.

there more than 100 countries announced Qatar support 8 of them will vote for Qatar plus our seat.

this bid will not going change Qatar or Middle East only it will change many countries around world and World Cup can be in places it was hard to presence in.

I endorse QATAR bids. Weather is only big issue in Qatar.

FIRST ROUND
SOUTH KOREA
JAPAN
USA
AUSTRALIA
QATAR

SOUTH KOREA ELIMINATE (South Korea hosted 2002. No one favour vote Korea)

SECOND ROUND
JAPAN
USA
AUSTRALIA
QATAR

USA ELIMINATE

THIRD ROUND
JAPAN
AUSTRALIA
QATAR

JAPAN ELIMINATE

FINAL ROUND VOTING
AUSTRALIA
QATAR

RESULT: No Comments .. SECRET BALLOT
wait n watch on 2nd DEC, 2010

Australia - the size of the football pitch issue
Qatar - Weather issue.

I see Qatar can host the world cup and this will change the whole area not just this small country you look only on Qatar potential and capabilities into doubt.

what Qatar want is not the honor or profit it is want to develop it is self and the area and as like many of people I believe in give them opportunity.

No chance-the US will be in the final 2-that is for certain. They may even wrap it up with 2 others left.
Very high possibility that Qatar won't be part of final voting which then just leaves the 4 technically compliant bids

USA hosted 1994.USA won't be part of final voting. they will eliminate in third round. USA may host either 2026 or 2034.

Qatar is only The Arabic world deserves a World Cup.

So does Australia and the Asia-Pacific region - which has the fastest growing support for football in the world. Australia 'deserves' it more than Qatar.

Why is it when I travel, all hell breaks loose in this thread !

Mo Rush, so in YOUR point of view, the real difficulty of this bid is the short distances between stadiums and such ?

_X_, Give up the Qatar-UAE joint bid idea, its less likely to happen than the Qatar bid.

Olympics and the WC are totally different. Besides, Australia has the capacity and prestige to host this event whereas Qatar doesn't - yet.
