Kurhaus | The Hague, The Netherlands
![]() Height: 40m ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() It's just too bad they demolished the beatiful buildings next to it and put a lot of ugly buildings in its place so the enviroment pretty much sucks

Pretty amazing.... It's huge! It's a hotel, right? I'll give a 9 for the architecture.
But you're right, the ugly residentials right next to it almost ruin everything!!! What the hell were they thinking....

They were thinking they could earn loads of money by building residentials there. They were probably right... but indeed, it's very ugly.
![]() The Kurhaus itself is an amazing building, 9/10. Interesting fact: The Kurhaus was the location of the first Rolling Stones concert outside the UK. It lasted about 3 minutes until the police cut off the power and the fans smashed the interior of the hall.

The least thing The Hague could do now, is to get rid of the souvenir shops that were built in front of the Kurhaus (on the boulevard), so that the hotel gets the space it needs on that side.
Of course, if I had my say the residentials would be demolished too, but I doubt those in charge will ever achieve the wisdom and courage to do so. The building itself: 8/10 |
