neat looking buliding! I sort of like how it looks as it does now with those slits on the side for the crane. When the facade is completely enclosed it will look overly cartoonish i think. Still a great building though.

key factor here is that they're not actually in Barcelona but in an industrial, working class suburb next to the city proper. I agree that the individual buildings in the cluster are nothing to write home about, in fact some are quite horrid and most of them look as if they had been built on a budget, but as a whole it's a good effort: attracting money to a city/suburb/commieblock wonderland that's very secondary despite its large population, diversifying its economy AND combining this with with social housing and other services all in the same place sounds like a good plan to me. Right now the environment is kind of edge-cityish, but once the residential buildings become occupied and the plaza itself is finished it will look much more urban.

also, L'Hospitalet must be one of the ugliest cities in Catalonia so I think Plaça Europa is good enough.

Great project, they look great every time I pass by, specially the Oyo Ito tower. And together with La Ciudad de la Justicia they'll make the coolest entrance to Barcelona

The exact comment is that it wasn't "good enough for Barcelona". It isn't, but for L'H it IS good enough, considering what the area was and what the surrounding areas ARE. Fine you're proud of your city, but it DOES have shortcomings Pl. Europa addresses in part.

I am surprised how little attention these tower have got so far. They have a very distinctive design.
