CHALLENGE #5 | February 09 | Clocks
Month
February 09 Theme Clocks This is a simply one to start off with, people seem to have forgotten, just how important it is, to be able to interpret the time correctly. Whether it is a sun-dial or a digital watch, being able to tell the time, has allowed people to become more precise and organised, so as a recognition we are going to go around searching for time-telling devices whether it be the humble sun-dial or atomic clock, so lets get snappy. And in this challenge there is no area restrictions, so as long as the photo is taken by you and in this month, you can enter it from where ever it and you come from. Rules 1) Photos must be taken by you. Photos found to be sourced elsewhere will be disqualified. 2) Photos must fit into the monthly theme. 3) A Maximum of 3 photos can be submitted per challenge (per month). 4) Photos must not be wider than 1024 pixels, and no higher than 1024 pixels. You may link to a larger version if needed. 5) Participants must cast votes at the end of the challenge. Non-voting participants will be disqualified. 6) No photos will be eligable after the end of the challenge month. 7) When posting a photo, the participate is responsible for correctly numbering their photos. Post your photo PROCEEDED by the sequence number preceded by a hash. e.g. #1. 8) Photos must be taken in the month of the challenge. 9) Participants cannot vote for their own challenge submission during the voting period. 10) There is no photoshopping/processing allowed to alter the original photo from when it was taken with the camera, so get your filters and lighting and cropping done when you take the photo. The exception to this is to resize the image so it meets the required size stated above. Voting - Voting will commence at the end of the month. - Any SSC member may vote - Voting is cast by the voter listing their top 3 photos in order of their favourite, i.e. #A #B #C - Voting ends 2 weeks after commencement. Closes 28 February 09, 6pm (WDST)

Does that mean whoever can manage an atomic clock photo wins?

...why not clocks, without clocks you would be screwed my friend.
they are a essential part of life ![]() Plus it'll make us able to exsplore all kinds of clocks around perth and every single one of us wont have the same picture also.

why not clocks? it just seems a bit more simplier than fremantle or artwork... something easy to start off with to get everyone involved.

Is that a clock in your home? I think photos of clocks should be limited to ones outside in public areas, on walls or in gardens, etc etc.....

These would be "ineligible" in the sense that I resized them when I got home

it's ok to resize them, considering a rule state photos must be smaller than 1024pixels wide or tall... so if you resize them to within those dimensions it can be entered.
