I think 50% of overall judgement should come from Mods/admins, while another 50 from ordinary members. That will be better and more precise.

Wow maybe it's because I live in Sydney myself and I've seen its skyline just so many times I don't see it as anything spectacular anymore but hey, I never knew or even realised that Sydney is all the way up there at #4 against every skyline this entire world.

The top is made by people's choice.

So when we rate Warsaw or Rotterdam, unconstient, we compare-it to Paris, London, but when we rate Miami, unconstient, we compare-it to New York, Chicago.

Nice to see what the people of SSC think...

Weird there's no Amsterdam in the list of historical skylines/highrise skylines!

Prague - Czech Republic is only number 8 it should be like 2 or 3.
And why is Yemen there???

Dubai in like 5-10 years it probably will be the top or near.

No offense intended to mods or admin but they are no more qualified. By definition, the ability to moderate and administer has nothing to do with knowledge of the world's built form. Zero. All it means is that they've made a commitment to this site.

Nice to see Seattle up in the top 12. Such a pretty city skyline.

Great list Major Deegan. You can't please everyone. I think your way of making the list was detailed, and a lot of work. Thanks for your time at making the list.

Not in this economy my friend. its is going to be a bit longer than that, assuming Dubai's economy ever goes back to being what it was, which i sincerely doubt considering it was founded on little more than sand and sun.

Dubai's future is quite rosy regardless of what happens to the global economy. It's become the hub of an entire region. People from across the Middle East and into the Indian sub-continent who used to look to London, now look to Dubai. It's fortunes have never been dependent on oil, but on trade and commerce.

Dubai in many ways is the capital of a region and will continue to boom whether people in the west accept this upstart or not.
