Wow DXB beat that for the first six months, and the next six months will be even stronger due to strong organic growth.

terminal1 extension pier A-plus is going into operating state tomorrow.
it is about 800meters long (185.000sqm), and can handle about 6mio passengers per year with 7 new terminal-positions for wide-body planes that can be split up to 11 a320-type positions (4of those are a380-dedicated). total costs of construction were about 700mio euro, the building will be used exclusively by lufthansa and its staralliance partners. lufthansa will operate 5 lounges in the new pier, with the largest one (senator lounge) covering 2100sqm.

Looks ok. Nothing special IMO. Especially the interior looks a bit bland and boring.

Hello! How far is the city or city center from Frankfurt airport? I'll flying to Europe and got a 5 hour stop in Frankfurt. It's posible to know a little of Frankfurt in that stop?

Which could be the best way to I'll move to city center? Thanks.

Once your out of the airport which is quick, and work your way towards the train it's about a 12 minute metro/subway trip to the city center, I do it all the time. The main train station in Frankfurt is right beside the CBD with all the tall buildings. Not far away is they're Main pedestrian street, and you can even see the old German tourist part at the same time, and have a fast beer.

Try not to have hand luggage, and if you already have your boarding card you need to work your way back to the airport the the city center around 90 minutes max.

Have fun.

If you are heading for the old town, recommend you to go 2 more stops from the main railway station and get off at Hauptwache instead.

Yep, I would also get off at Hauptwache.

The "S-Bahn" is like 15 minutes from Frankfurt Airport (Terminal 1) to Frankfurt Hauptwache

In the other hand, my german is so basic, there's problem with my short visit to the city? English is enough?

Yeah, English is fine, especially in Frankfurt. In Frankfurt shop clerks etc. often talk to me in English, because I don't look German.

What about the security checks queues at Terminal 1 in the late afternoon?
Is getting there 2 hours in advance from Frankfurt enough or is it excessive?
