When I was there, I can say that's true, especially if your flight is late to the connecting flight the layout doesn't help navigate at all. Three times that happened to me at Frankfurt, barely made it.

I agree FRA can be a maze trying to hop on your connecting flight especially if your running late. Hopefully T3 will help fix this issue once the non-Alliance carriers move out of T1 & 2.

Ah so all Star Alliance carriers and Lufthansa will have T1 and T2 all to themselves, and T3 will be for non-star alliance airlines.

Glad to see authorities trying to resolve the issue and hopefully it will improve. For being the largest entry point into Germany the Frankfurt airport currently does not give you the most welcoming perception of Germany.

Now on the other hand I can say that Lufthansa's other main hub in Munich is pretty nice (and from experience I would say it is one of the best in the world). If they can incorporate some of the elements at the Munich airport into the Frankfurt airport it would be a nice change.

Nothing is decided yet ... LH / Star Alliance prefers to stay in T1, oneworld might be heading to T3 while all others plus charter will be in T2.
