We as the ukrainian members of this forum would like to promote our country. We plan to upload tо this topic different shorts which were made in Ukraine.
For the first it will be the photos of monuments, unique buildings and constructions, nice countrysides and other things which our country prouds of.

Let's start our virtual travel. The firts short likes the flag of Ukraine and consists of 2 colours: blue and yellow. This colours simbolize the sky and wide fields of Kyivska Rus'

Many thanks to Wlad for starting this topic.
Due to the promotion policy of our authority is the great disaster. They do nothing, but waste a lot of money. So I try to help to keep this topic interesting. Next photos will be from me tomorrow. But now… Photos of course very interesting…. But more interesting to see Ukraine with you own eyes. Cheap and quick way to Ukraine from Poland – Wizz Air flight Katowice-Kyiv.

St. Michael's Golden-Domed Monastery (Ukrainian: Михайлівський золотоверхий монастир; translit.: Mykhaylivs’kyi zolotoverkhyi monastyr; )
Originally built in the Middle Ages by Sviatopolk II Iziaslavych, the monastery comprises the Cathedral itself (Mykhaylivs’kyi zolotoverkhyi sobor), the refectory of St. John the Divine, built in 1713, the Economic Gates (Ekonomichna vrata), constructed in 1760 and the monastery's bell tower, which was added circa 1716–1719.
The cathedral was demolished by the Soviet authorities in the 1930s, but was recently reconstructed after Ukraine gained its independence. Wikipedia

The Odesa National Academic Theater of Opera and Ballet (Ukrainian: Одеський національний академічний театр опери та балету)
The first opera house was opened in 1810 and destroyed by fire in 1873. The modern building was constructed by Fellner and Helmer in neo-baroque style and opened in 1887. The luxorious hall follows rococo style. Its unique acoustics allows to deliver even a whisper from the stage to any part of the hall. The most recent renovation of the theater was completed in 2007. Kamianiec' Old Fortress
The town of Kamyanets occupies third place in Ukraine as far as number of architectural places of interest (after Kyiv and Lviv). There are more than one hundred here! But only the Old Fortress has become the symbol of the town. It is thought that the first fortifications appeared where the modern fortress now stands at the time of the Roman Emperor Trojan (101-107 A. C.). And it is a fact that during the era of the state of Kyiv Rus, an earthen fortress was constructed here.
The Chronicle describes construction of a stone fortress for the Lithuanian prince Koriatovych, who governed in the Podillia Principality at the end of the 14th century. And in the 17th century the New Fortress (people call it the Bank), a project overseen by French engineers, appeared around the castle..

Coal-preparation plant in the Donetsk
Next photo is from my native city (the center of coal-mining industry of Ukraine).
Donetsk was founded in 1869 as Yuzovka.
In front of you you can see the complex of buildings of coal-preparation plant

Ukrainian part of the Carpathian mountains
Усть-Чо́рна (Ust’-Chorna) (нім. Königsfeld), settlement of Tyachiv’s district of Transcarpathian region in Ukraine. Was founded in 1760 by german colonists. The settlement is situated about 800 km. to the southwest from Kyiv, near from romanian border. There are six mountain peaks: Ungaryaska (1707 m.), Tempa (1634 m.), Grompa (1494 m.), Bratkivska (1788 m.) and Chorna Kleva (1719 m.) 25 kilometres away.
