TORONTO | Success Tower | 157m | 53 fl | 140m | 45 fl | Com

It says a great deal about the construction frenzy taking place in Toronto that a 2 tower development of this magnitude has gotten completely over looked. The project is half done and still no thread, so I'll start one.

This is a rather poor render of what the finished project is supposed to look like:

Here's the site just south east of the Air Canada Centre:

Looking south towards the waterfront and the Westin Harbour Castle Hotel:

Looking to the south east:

Looking north towards the central business district:

One of the towers has already topped out. It's rather generic, but it doesn't look too bad.

The height saves it from being just another glass condo tower:

hmmmm....stunning! a little bit too much of glass and very Vancouverish but I like it anyway, however a few more of the same, might ruin the lake side's beauty and once diverse skyline.

Couldn't agree with you more, I hope in the future this city decides to stray away from the green/turquoise/bluish glass and goes with other colours and designs more easier on the eyes. This city is starting to lose some of it's character and diversity it once had and is turning very plastic and preppy. Toronto, don't become just another Vancouver!

yes, so true... the lake side is really turning into a second Vancouver with the difference that there aren't no snow covered pick mountains all around to identify the city.

I am OK with the use of the blue-ish glass, but as long as they also add or use some other materials in the future designs like stones, granite, marmer, alluminium, iron, etc.

I happen to like glassy buildings, but I understand your point. Bluish and greenish tinted glass looks really great in Miami. Adding some masonry does create a more interesting composition, especially in a northern urban metropolis.

or at least a darker tinted glass like those covering Dominion Center or Seagram building or Sears Tower. right?
