The "strange reality" is that Berlin fans only want to hear positive things about Berlin and love to belittle other German cities!

You do have a wonderful sense of self-irony.

You restarted the "senseless" chatter with post #159 on September 6th, 2010, at 05:58 PM

every berlin bashing discussion contains the words "ego, hype, wishfull thinking"..used as killer argument
nobody expects berlin to be like paris or new york
btw
on weekend i saw a funny painting with that phrase: berlin is the ***** of all cities : D

What do you think about the one roof concept? (way of thinking)
AMS has pioneered the one-roof concept. DUS also operates under one roof too. (aab7772003)
Does anybody knows why the current terminal in Schoenefeld isn´t included into the construction plans of BBI (as terminal for EasyJet, Germanwings, Norwegian and Ryanair) and will be closed with opening the BBI? There had been plans to reconstruct the current terminal as a kind of sun and fun terminal by IVG. Does anybody knows why the BBI-constructers decided for the one roof concept instead?

Great airport!!! I particularly like the forecourt open area in front of the terminal. This is exactly what Hong Kong Airport is lack of.

Regret to hear that the opening is delayed. I plan to visit Germany next year and had hoped to arrive at Berlin through the new airport......

This is a late fulfilling prophecy of the old gdr national anthem, Risen from ruins:

Risen from ruins
and facing the future,
let us serve you for the good,
Germany, united fatherland.
There are old woes to overcome
and united we are overcoming them
because we must succeed,
so that the sun more beautiful than ever
over Germany shines,
over Germany shines
