Let's hold on your judge and wait until the airport is completed and we will comment, can't we ?

The interior looks nice and clean but the terminal's vertical columns and its austere look kinda remind me of Tempelhof Airport and the 1936 Olympic Stadium. Does anyone know what will happen to the old Schoenefeld terminal after the new terminal's opening?

What are you talking about ? Could you tell me please what exactly reminds you of Tempelhof or the Olympic stadium ? Have you ever even seen these buildings ? They've got nothing in common with the Willy Brandt Airport.
Does Boston even has an airport?

I didn't mean to disrespect you and the country of Germany when I said the design reminded me of buildings that were built by the worst dictator the world has ever seen. I simply said that the use of bold, vertical columns reminded me of the austerity you get to see at Tempelhof and the Olympic Stadium.Beside this This airport, is by far, more humane than those two places. I have to admit that the interior is one of the best I have ever seen. 20 years from now, when those ultra-modern airports in East Asia and the Middle East become old and outdated, Berlin Brandenburg will still look stunning simply because it doesn't look too flashy nor "revolutionary".

Of course Boston does have an airport, it is called General Edward Lawrence Logan International Airport. Last year it catered 28 million passengers, far larger than many airports in the world. You will be surprised to learn that Lufthansa operates direct flights between Boston and Munich as well as Frankfurt. Even though there is nothing special about its architecture, I find it very user-friendly and practical, just as how this amazing airport will be.

Certainly Berlin deserves such a great airport. I love the colors they chose for the interiors.

Beautiful aerial shots by the way

Even though the two mentioned buildings are buildings associated with the Nazis, they, as architecture, are of great quality and timeless design. I think, that they definitely share that quality with the new airport. 50 years from now, it will still look very classy.
That sort of architecture, sober and straightforward but timelless has become a trademark for most of Berlin's big public architecture. I really like that.

Why so defensive?

Are you kidding me ?
Looks rather to me that Logan International Airport Boston has more of that "austerity" miracle was talking about. In fact the insides of tempelhof and logan airport (that wooden hallway) looks pretty similar.

I have a gut feeling QF will transfer operations from FRA and focus on BER considering Air Berlin is scheduled to join OW this year...

That's not going to happen. QF flights from Frankfurt are booked extremely good and Qantas already said that there are no plans for BER operations and Qantas also has an agreement with Lufthansa for feeding flights. And you should not forget that Air Berlin has just signed a cooperation with Etihad. So BER-Australia will also be routed via Abu Dhabi.
