Do you have an idea about the cost of the construction?

What are LH's plans for routes from Berlin? Is Berlin going to be added as LH gateway? Is it going to be an important base for any other carrier? Will it be Air Berlin's main hub?

Well LH is going to offer more routes from BBI, but the main hub airport will still be frankfurt and then munich.
but i think due to the increase of tourism in berlin the infrastructure for tourists will be much better.
no doubt there will be more direct flights (from the us, asia) to berlin.

Dude, why the hostility? I am sorry you have a problem with Indians, but don't get pissed off about it.

In this thread people talked about Frankfurt's airport, you had no problem with that, so why now? If you have a problem with me recommending something, you can buzz off quite frankly.

The only reason I bought that project up is because this and DEL T3 are massive projects which many have ignored. Everyone talked about Dubai, and Beijing, but Berlin and Delhi are also getting very nice major terminals and as aviation/airport enthusiasts I thought I would share a project some may be unaware of in this thread.

Still, there's no reason to come up with some Delhi airport, as this is a thread about the BBI in Berlin. Esp. since you did in such an advertising way. So I agree to Iggis' remark on this one. Please stick to the topic, thanks.

Man, i dont have any problems with indians at all, and it wasnt personal, i just told about your advertising, thats all. My Moscow thread is also not so popular, means people are not so interested, it doesnt give me a reason to advertise it, just accept as it is, thats all. Even if DEL is really great and huge, people who want to visit that thread, would visit it.

I was waiting for BBI for so long, one period of time i was even thinking this project was stopped, but i see its not

As i can understand, S-bahn line will be prolonged to BBI? And yet, i still cant understand what is a position of SXF in the pictures, been several times to Berlin, and now looking at the photos, i cant find current terminal...

yep BBI will have a s-bahn connection.

the old terminal of sch÷nefeld sxf will not be a part of the new airport.

here you can see the old sxf: (in the north is sxf - in the south bbi)

this is the new plan:
so as you can see sxf will become a "business park"

Really nice airport, but the name isn't the best. I'd vote for Kaiser Wilhelm International or even better; "Bismarck International".

What a beautiful airport!

With the ICE station at BBI, will the HS trains be running only to Berlin, or can you catch high speed trains to the rest of Germany?

well the airport railway station will have 6 tracks.
a special s-bahn (airport shuttle) will connect the airport with the city in 20 minutes.
as far as i know the ice timetables will be developed by the "deutsche bahn" when the airport is finished.
the bbi railway station is build for ice trains - but the precisely use will be developed based on the requirements.
but i guess there will be ice trains in use. i think the situation will be handled like in frankfurt.

Nice, I like the green roofs and the wooden decor.

No doubt, Berlin will become another internationl hub in Germany.

Once Hamburg reaches its max capacity, many flight might go to Berlin. With ICE its only around 1:30 minutes travel time from central station to central station. Not sure what the travel time to BBI will be.

Looks nice, though I prefer when the "square" in front of the airport in visible. Now it's like going on a street.

Funny pic with the guy carrying the baby. I bet that didn't have political undertone.
