Antalya has the same spanish CAF trams than Bilbao and Vitoria in Spain:

http://www.urbanrail.net/eu/gast/vitoria-gasteiz.htm

They're nice, but in my opinion the ones from Alstom are better.

New Istanbul metro bridge

The new bridge will connect M2 H.Osman-Sishane subway to Marmaray and M1 Yenikapi-Aksaray-Airport metro.
The parts are started to come inside of Halic sea, and construction started after long delay of almost 10 years , we hope this will be complate soon and the ready M2 extention tubes will serve for this very important connection in Istanbul.

CAF has become quite popular here.

Antalya purchased CAF trams
TCDD purchased CAF highspeed trains
Izmir purchased CAF suburban units
Istanbul pruchased CAF metro vehicles

BTW,in Antalya they proved that even such a strange looking tram like this (very similar to Bilbao's version),if well painted, can look quite nice

And it's really impressing, how many new tram systems are build in Turkey... opposite to eg. Poland, where probably in Olsztyn will appear the first new Poland's tram system after... over 50 years! But I hope if they do it,then other cities will follow Olsztyn

Yes, 30 vehicles for the Kadiköy-Kartal line. Don't ask me why only 30 maybe because they order also some Eurotem vehicles made in Turkey to support the company.

The public transport available in Turkey is the best I have seen anywhere. Love those little minibuses, go everywhere and cheap.

We need to do this in Melbourne, far better than the railway, tram and bus system that we have.

@Hokomoko: the line you are showing is commonly referred to as M6 in working drafts, not M7. Better use the terminus station names for referring to a line, as numbering can possibly change by the time these lines come to life. Any idea when the line you are showing will be ready?
Numerals for unfinished or planned metro lines in Istanbul:
M3 Marmaray : Halkali-Gebze, u.c., 2013
M4 Anadoluray: Kadiköy-Kaynarca u.c., 2011
M5 Üsküdar-Cekmeköy Askeri Lojmanlari, planned
M6 (Bakirköy Ferry Jetty-)Ikitelli-Olympiyat Parki/Basak Konutlari 4; planned/u.c.
M7 Kabatas-Mahmutbey, planned
