The Van Kleef Aquarium is gone ,too.

Used to go there a lot when I was little.

Yeah, I still remember we've got some photos of my mum carrying me just outside the aquarium.

I remember it's rather small ,built very close to the slope.There are 3 levels ,I think.

The aquariums start from the waist level ,all along the corridor ,inside the corridors ,the only lighting comes from the aquariums.

When I was driven by this place as a kid...i actually found it spooky thanks to the diamonds and the lack of human life around it!

LOL..I only have a fleeeeeeting memory of it..and I believe it was already slated for demolition by then. Those diamonds look like fangs though

Yeah....which Singaporean will want to keep one like this when aircon culture has caught on so badly?

Anyway....I heard the building had to be removed thanks to the tunneling for the CTE, or because it became structurally unsound, or both factors are related?

No wonder my parents said they had to climb Mt Faber to watch "Lu Lu" when they could'nt afford the tickets.

btw, that has been a mystery to me since my mum told me about it.
