Because Tehran's two major airports are "hot and high" airports during the summer, I wouldn't be surprised the Iran Air order is for a combination of A320neo's and A320neo's. And an eventual order for A330-800neo's an A330-900neo's for flights to Europe, most of the African continent and much of Asia.

Sorry but i can not understand why you are talking so bad about sukhoi superjet aaaaall the time, it is getting boring. By the way, superjets consist out of a big part of western technology.
In my opinion they are a really nice option especially for smaller iranian carriers who seek to replace their F100 or MD aircrafts but prefer planes with a lower pirchase price, which the superjet definetely has.

New Iran airline ready for launch

Iran is being coveted by international airlines as the Middle East’s biggest potential aviation market.

Nevertheless, its aviation fleet is believed to be dilapidated and in urgent need of renovation.

Officials have said that Iran would need between 400-500 new aircraft worth at least $60 billion in the next decade.

They had also told the media that Tehran plans to place major purchase orders with global brands such as Boeing and Airbus.

Reports emerged in the media in early November that several domestic airlines have purchased 13 Boeing 737 aircraft.

The planes were reported to have been purchased by Nasim Air, a new airline based in the central city of Isfahan, Caspian Airlines and Aseman Airlines.

Other reports say Iran has purchased planes from Russia, as well, but details on the reported purchases are yet to come out.

Iran will eventually need planes for Nortn Americ and Australia. For that the A330-800 will not do.

It has to be A350 or A380 or B747-8, B777 or B787

I petsonally dislike double deckers and twin engines so hope no B747 or A380s are puechased.

The CSeries isa much better plane. So are smaller Bombardier and Embraer.

Just look at the order books of the Sukhoi. Additionally the imterior is hidious.

Finally Iranian parliament has banmed tne acquisition of Russian planes.

Aha. Iranian parliament has forbidden russian planes but the Civil Aviation authorities have announced that they are in negotiations with russia plus Sukhoi has also said that they are in talks ?
I am sure the question is not IF iran buys sukhoi, it is how many planes will come.

No. It would make little sense to only have four carriers in a big country like iran, which could not offer the needed capacity. Also it is stupid to want passengers having less choices when it comes to prices, service and flight times.

Based on what are you making false claims? Iran also has orders outstanding for Tupolov. There is a ban. Period.

Until it is lifted none will be bought.

Again, it makes no sense to have more. Iran has 200-300 planes in total.

Airlines start becoming efficient when they have 50 planes or more. Most normal airlines have over 100 planes. Having airlines with 10 or 15 planes is ridiculous.

1. It is horrible for transit
2. It is not efficient
3. More airlines does not mean more choice in Iran. Everything is Government regulated
