Of course. Flightradar24 gets its coverage when people feed to them. Most of the aircraft have ADS-B transponders which only requires one feeder (one person) to receive the information, and Flightradar24 can show it.

Some older aircraft (like Fokker 100 and Airbus A300) can't be shown on Flightradar24's map as they don't have this ADS-B equipment. Instead they have another transponder called something else, forgive my lack on knowledge here. Anyhow, for these aircraft to show on the map Flightradar24 requires 4 feeders (4 persons) to cover the area. When these four feeders feed it creates MLAT. MLAT is an estimated position and isn't as exact as traffic from the ADS-B which only requires 1 feeder.

In Tehran there has recently been created MLAT, thanks to +4 people feeding. But that isn't the case for, for example Mashhad which only has one guy feeding. That's why you'll see for example Fokker 100s over Tehran, and not Mashhad. The numbers of feeders aren't enough. When you are on Flightradar24 you can check the info box and see what "radar" feeds it. If it has a specific name like F-OIII3 or T-OIII13 (name of the feeders) then it is an aircraft with ADS-B. If the "radar" is called T-MLAT then it uses the MLAT system.

In this case, Meraj Air's A300 doesn't have ADS-B and can only be seen with the MLAT technique which requires +4 feeders close to each orher covering up for each other to estimate the position for this Meraj Air A300. On the way from Iran to India there are unfortunately not enough feeders to create a MLAT coverage, hence it won't show. If it however flies to Europe (almost 100% MLAT) it will be visible on the map.

I hope it was easy to understand

Iran says Boeing officials will visit Tehran soon.

Associated Press.

TEHRAN, Iran (AP) — Iran said Saturday that the United States has allowed Boeing to have direct talks with Iranian airliners following reports that a Boeing delegation will visit the country, the official IRNA news agency reported.

The report quoted Ali Abedzadeh, head of Iran's Civil Aviation Organization, as saying "Boeing intends to launch its talks with Iranian companies with permission from the U.S. government."

Abedzadeh said Boeing has provided an Iranian airline with, "some technical issues to upgrade flight safety." He did not elaborate.

He also said Iran has "appropriate offers" from airplane manufacturers in Brazil, Canada and Japan for both leasing and selling airplanes to Iran.

On Friday, IRNA said a delegation from Boeing will visit the country to review "possible cooperation" with Iranian airlines. It said officials from Iran's national carrier, Iran Air, and other Iranian airlines will meet the Boeing delegation.

In March Abedzadeh said Iran will likely sign an agreement to buy airplanes from Boeing. The Chicago-based airline manufacturer has denied repeatedly that it will sell airplanes on the visit, instead saying it will discuss fleet-planning options with Iranian officials.

Last summer's nuclear deal between Iran and world powers has brought an end to international economic sanctions, allowing the Islamic Republic to upgrade its aging fleet of aircraft. Iran Air has already signed agreements to buy 118 planes from the European consortium Airbus and 20 more from French-Italian aircraft manufacturer ATR.

According to Amin;s blog, they held talks with seven airlines offering 737, 787 and 777, the mangaements have to decide now.

The Brussels in the background belongs to Zagros Airlines. Reg is UR-CMW and it is Iran's very first A319.

Is this for real this time? I want to wait and buy tickets with them, but will it actually happen this time? When do tickets go on sale?

Anyone know where one can get information on the passenger numbers of foreign flights? I'm curious to see how Lufthansa and Austrian are doing, especially with the latter's two daily flights

seems doing okay, lets hope MUC IKA is going to be a successor this time, thou the transit time in MUC for North American fits seem not to be in favor for PAX.

Only the AM departures (JFK CLT LAX) seem to benefit from the current arrival time out of IKA.

PAX connecting from LAX to IKA via MUC have to cope with a long transit time. Same goes for all other AM North American arrivals. The only decent connecting time from a US destination would be out of SFO on the way to Tehran.

well given the fact that the sector FRA IKA FRA is operated with no F class it seems alright.

Lets see what happens once all the other EURO carrier resume flight operations into IKA.

Iranians still do love Lufthansa.
