I think this might be the plane that Mahan refurbished a few pages back with a German seating company. Anyone agree with this??

Yes, that's right, look at page 46, there I have posted the pictures of the new ZIM Flugsitz (name of the german company) seats and the old Lufthansa seats, which you can also see in the picture above.

When I gaze through these pages, I only see old but well maintained planes. Does anyone know why wont Irani companies buy for example new TU-204s(-SM or 300) just to add fresh blood to the aging fleet? Of course I'm familiar with the problem U.S. and the EU placed restrictions on cooperation with Iran in foreign trade, financial services, energy sectors and technologies, basically imposing a wide range of sanctions against the country. But the relations between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Russian Federation go a long way back, and traditionally good, so why not use Russian avionics technologies in commercial flying instead of "western" technology?

Please do not take it as an insult, altough the comparison is pretty bad, since the countries are playing in a way different league, but for example Cuba's Cubana or North Korea's Air Koryo is also flying this bird. Not to mention DHL, TNT, or Egypt Air...











If this was a point of discussion earlier on these pages, please forgive me, I'm not a regular visiter of this thread.

Because the PS-90 powerplant uses American & other western parts so Iran can't buy them.
