yes but it's difficult for Iranian spotter because here are the reasons:

-Aviation photographing at airports is illigal in Iran.
-The distance between IKIA and Tehran is very far sooo that makes that the spotters mostly go to Mehrabad exept if you have a license or if you are working for a newsagent like Farsnews,IRINN,Reuters,....

but yes let's hope they will soon put som pictures on the net

Iran, Russia to build 100 Tupolevs



Moscow and Tehran are negotiating the details of a joint project to build 100 passenger carriers of the Tupolev Tu-204 series in Iran.

First deputy of the Tupolev aircraft manufacturer Sergey Galperin said that the federation of Russian aircraft manufacturers and Iranian Aerospace Industries Organization would carry out the project.

The Tupolev Tu-204 is a twin-engine medium range Russian airliner capable of carrying 212 passengers. First introduced in 1989, it is considered to be the equivalent to the Boeing 757.

Ria Novosti quoted Galperin as saying on Wednesday that the Russian Ilyushin Finance Company and Iran AirTours airline were negotiating the delivery date of the five Tu-204 SM aircraft which was previously set for 2010.

This is not Iran's first attempt at assembling passenger planes. After purchasing the production license for 100 Antonov An-140 from Ukraine in 2000, Iran built its first Iran-140 passenger plane in 2003.

Iran Air A320 to Tashkent & Vienna

As per GDS timetable display as of 30MAR09, Iran Air has inducted Airbus A320 aircraft to its operation.

For the Summer schedule, the A320 is operating:
1 weekly Tehran - Tashkent
2 weekly Tehran - Vienna

However, in Official airline Guide Worldwide Edition - Mar 2009, it shows the A320 plans to operate 1 weekly Milan and 1 weekly Paris Orly service. Of course these has been replaced by A300/A310

As per GDS timetable display on 01APR09, Iran Air is operating Boeing 747 aircraft on to the following European routes during Summer peak season

Tehran - Gothenburg
1 weekly service from 15JUN09 to 21SEP09 sees 747 replace A310

Tehran - Hamburg
Day 2 service from 23JUN09 to 15SEP09 operates with 747SP instead of A310. This is the 3rd weekly flights operating during the period mentioned

Tehran - London Heathrow
All 4 weekly 747

Int'l publishers flying IranAir get discount

Iran Airlines offers international publishers, using IranAir to transport their publications to Tehran's Book Fair, a 70 percent discount.

According to the public relations office of Iran's Cultural Fairs Institute (ICFI), all international publishers, transporting their books to Iran on IranAir flights will receive the discount.

Some 700 international publishers from European, Asian and Arab countries participate in Tehran's International Book Fair every year.

The 22nd edition of Tehran's International Book Fair will be held at the city's Grand Prayer Grounds from May 6 to 16, 2009.
