I was in South Florida last year and I had an exciting time running around clubbing, dining, sightseeing everywhere from the Keys to Miami's South Beach and Coconut Grove, downtown Hollywood, Fort Lauderdale and Boca's elegant Mizner Place. I'm sorry you didn't get out or have friends to show you around.

Actually, in my travels I found Germany to be not only boring but depressing as well ... and it's doesn't have Florida's climate.

Hi everyone,
I`ve been travelling a lot for the last 25 years: Brasil,Venezuela,Mexico,Caribean Sea,
India,Thailand,Malaysia,Singapur,Philippines,China,Egypt,Tunesia,Seychelles,Maldives,
UAE,Oman, most of Europe and, of course, Florida,N.Y.C. and California.
In my opinion everything looks the same in Florida. The climate is warmer than in
Germany, but sunshine state ? I was there in August, nearly every day thunderstorms.
You would better name Arizona, New Mexico or Nevada like this.

best wishes

really arizona or nevada unshine state? no, those are desert states

the reason florida is the sunshine state is because where in the states is the sun praised more than in florida? where do people sit on the beach and tan more than in florida? what state in the continental us is more exotic than florida? none
plus florida is a very flat state elevation-wise, for this reason you wont see rolling hills, and jutting mountains, you will see low elevation everywhere, the tallest point in florida is the top of a garbage landfill, plus you need to visit more than the famous places to see real america, go northeast all the way to maine, or vermont, go to the wilderness of Alaska, go to rural North Carolina, or Urban North Carolina for that matter where i live, go to Charlotte its a beautiful city, and see how they contrast with florida, and maybe you will start to see the differences
and obviously you didn't travel all over florida, northern and southern florida are like different countries
and really we are the same? how about, hungary, croatia, germany, austria, italy, all those places? hell all of europe in fact? everything looks the same within everyone of those countries, there are differences from country to country but within them everything is pretty much the same, as much the same as florida is the same at least

I think travel is a wonderful and exciting thing. It is educational. Travel is my hobby. You are very lucky to have visited so many places ... I have never been been to the Seychelles or the Maldives (except to the airport on the way to Sri Lanka), but I have visited the other places you mentioned. In fact after 35 years of travel, I have been to approx. 90 countries on 6 continents, including sailing through the Panama and Suez canals, hiking the Amazon rainforests and the Himalayas in Tibet, driving through the Sahara and the Argentinian Pampas and enjoy visiting famous places like Macchu Picchu, the Taj Mahal, the Grand Canyon, the Sydney Opera House, Angkor Wat, the Hagia Sofia, etc.

This building is hot! Just as hot as where I live! Yes, come out here for the sun but you won't find the kind of sizzle that Miami has!

The curtain wall is almost there! I love the way this building reflects the sky and clouds.

Very glassy and sleek! A nice addition to Miami's skyline.
