This is great looking building in completely the wrong place, it looks horrific there.

It will be built somewhere in the middle of these pics. Doesn't seem out of place for me. Monaco could use a little bit more Hong Kong.

It will be considerably taller than these towers though.

Here I have indicated the location and approximate height of the Tour Odéon.

Cheers for those! The only knowledge I had was from the renders in this thread which didn't really show a wider image. I still don't think its right though, glass and steel just doesn't fit Monaco for me.

Looking at the swift transisition from presentation to start of construction of this project, it's as if it hasn't had to deal with NIMBYs, which is quite surprising, looking at the shadow this tower casts on the villas behind it on the render posted above.

Since this one is under construction and there are no updates till date, here are some impressions of Monaco's tallest.

the villas are located in france, the tower itself is in monaco. I guess they didn't care about nimbys outside the country.

great renderings, I still think this project is vile though ...

Bullshit. If anything, this design is a step in the right direction. Something completely different with a lot of class. Experience the city in person first before you throw around your judgements.

I have already been in Monaco and I found it disgusting.
I find it weird why rich people like living there. it is tiny and
ridiculous expensive. even if I were a billionaire I wouldn`t
spend a penny there. there a thousands of more livable places
around the world.
and Nils: I have been to far more places than you so stop bashing
and give me more respect !

Rich people live there because it's a tax haven. Groceries also aren't expensive, unless you eat at very centrally located restaurants. Other than that, the architecture is beautiful (with exception of the tall commie blocks, admittedly), and so is the nature and general area surrounding the country.

As for the pictures posted above... holy shit, that's some of the sweetest stuff I've ever seen in my life. Imagine living there and swimming in that pool..
