Smaller Japanese cities, that's what I like. Nothing against Tokyo or Osaka, but those are much more interesting and still keep something of the old Japanese culture and architecture. Two interesting and beautiful cities, Nagano is really great!

what's nice is that everywhere in japan looks squeaky clean...(at least that's what the pictures show, but i'm willing to bet that that's the general trend over there...)

Good photos!
If it is perceived that this is a city organized, beautiful and modern!
typical of Japan!

To see the cherry blossom in Early may you have to go North to Hokkaido. Around Tokyo it's usually late March or early April.

well some parts of Tokyo isn't so squeeky clean.. with so many people there, its hard to keep it constantly clean

but Matsumoto.. I've been there.. and that place is really as clean as it looks. I rarely if ever, saw a cigarette butt on the streets. Its pretty quiet there and not so busy and hectic as Tokyo, which is probably why its so peaceful and clean. Its a very nice place! Nicer when the sky is blue and the season warmer!
