Good news indeed.
^ yup good news indeed...as stated all the requirements have been satisfied...access road is already under construction and there hopefully the the BIA will be operational by 2013, serving the bicol region and northern samar and parts of quezon provinces..

^ i respect your feelings...hehe...you know...there are plenty of paradise islands with white sand beaches everywhere...Palawan, in the philippines, however, could produce the best location for that in the whole of southeast asia..believe me...and there are only few places that host volcanoes so perfect like the Mayon volcano...and a sanctuary for the biggest fish in the world, the whale sharks...hehe..guess the philippines is anticipating the flocks of russian, chinese, indian and south american tourists flooding our shores..and it want to showcase what's unique in the philippines: Mt. Mayon of Albay and the whale sharks of Sorsogon...By 2013 the BIA will become fully operational..why? coz i believe in our local leaders that it will be delivered in due time for these foreign and our local tourists!

Is this really final.. BICOL INTERNATION AIRPORT? What will be the projected international flights that the airport will probably be hosting after it will be opened?

Funds for Bicol International Airport -- Albay province recently received from the Department of Transportation and Communication (DOTC) some P85 million to pay for lands at the site of the Bicol International Airport at the boundaries of Daraga and Camalig towns, in a simple ceremony at the DOTC office in Makati.

how far is this to CWC and Caramoan resort? cam sur is now the number 1 tourist destination in P.I. overtaking boracay and Cebu. it deserves to have a world class airport.

^ yup thats why albay is building a world class airport to cater the airtranport needs of the whole bicol peninsula..and of coursr the two beautiful island provinces of bicol..

its approximately 10 minutes to Mt Mayon, Embarcadero in Legazpi City, an hour away to misibis bay raintree in Cagraray island, Albay...less than 45 minutes to the world famous butandings of sorsogon...less than an hour away to CWC in Pili, Camarines Sur...its approximately an hour away to the famous bulusan volcano..or an hour away to the famous rizal beach

and in the future could just be few hours away to manito's nag aso lake or could cut travel time to caramoan in camarines sur, via legazpi or tabaco pier, then using a fast craft...

kung matapos nila ang ginagawang road infrastructure sa libmanan to naga...then it would cut the travel time from BIA,Albay to the emerging tourist destination in daet camarines norte...asan ka pa dyan!

^Kahit hindi siguro si salceda ang naka upo or kahit hindi si GMA ang presidente ngayon...that airport in Daraga will still materializedcoz that's part of the long term development of the Philippines...1998 pa nag umpisa ang pag aaral nyan conducted by the JICA...that agency made study of four airports to be improved to international standard: Iloilo, bacolod, Legazpi and Tacloban.
