It's hard to believe that TamilMurasu would publish something on this on a plan against their own airlines.

it seems unlikely that Allegory will buy stake in Kingfisher. If he does, I would say he has gone bonkers. No one would invest in an airline that has a ridiculous growth plan like that of kingfisher.

Thank you Amar. I appreciate your efforts to scan and post it here. The news is interesting. I think he may end up having some shares in KF(IT).

Interesting article eventhough quite difficult to digest. Let us wait and see. If MKA takes some shares in KF, mdu will gain nothing. But if he decides to start his own airlines then yes madurai may benefit. It is too early to comment or assume.

This is the reply for the mail i sent to Mr. Tony Fernandes, CEO of AirAsia.

Thank you for your support of AirAsia.

Although talks are ongoing, nothing is finalised yet. Look out for announcement in the AirAsia website.

Hi, I had written a letter to Mr. Tony few days back. His office response is as follows. It is not encouraging.

Dear Mr Ananth,

Thank you for your email to Mr. Tony Fernandes.

The process for us to fly to Madurai are still in the planning stages. Thus, there is no firm decision yet on this route at this time.

Thank you and warm regards,

Above two email replies say most probably nothing going fine. The facebook conversation with "AirAsia India" adds more worries.

Me : What happened to KL-Madurai plan?
AirAsiaIndia : Probably not soon Mohamed as we are yet to receive the approval from the local authority.

I dont know how long they meant by "not soon". The other words someway lead to think they might have submitted their letter to AAI.

First of all i would like to say you a big thanks for shown interest to operate from madurai to KL as per this news http://www.hindu.com/2010/10/14/stor...1456160500.htm
I am basically from Madurai and now working in software company in abroad. As per this news, You have told that
"Mr. Fernandes said Air Asia was very much interested in Madurai and was waiting for the immigration facility at the new terminal of Madurai airport to be put in place. “I will come to inaugurate the Madurai-Kula Lumpur flight soon,” he said."

May i know whether did you submitted intent letter to AAI and when we can expect your service from madurai.I would be happy if i know that. Please reply me.
