I am just wondering why they just built two lanes. They should build at least four lanes two ways both directions.. is this a shortsighted vision of Norway politicians.

I'd be surprised if there is more than 8 000 vehicles per day there. I don't think 4 lanes are really necessary.

It's more like 1000 per day, so no need for additional lanes... Besides, it wouldn't been a world record if it had 4 lanes

Hardangerbridge and Hardangerfjord.

I made some pictures this summer from rv 550, nearby Utne.
It was a nice spot where you can see the height of the bridge and the mountains.

More pictures from Norway, You can find here.

I hate it when bridges are built with less than four lanes.

I really love the direct transition from tunnel to bridge. Looks great but doesn't beat the one I saw in the China Bridges thread. That one was over a deep ravine xd

Impression of how the bridge is located in priceless landscape:

Huge debate has rumbled across the land over a new powerline running trough these mountains, locally the same people fighting for the bridgeproject has parallelly been fighting against the powerlines:

Underground roundabout:

You're welcome.

What's so funny about our language btw? Isn't it quite normal?
