medina on barrack didn't deviate from the approved design.

A maximum fine of $250,000 is a slap on the wrist though.

Cannot believe that is all they are going to have to pay for significantly changing the design.. thats less than the price of one of their studios.

At least it adds a bit of colour to the city. I was surprised when I first saw it - I don't think it looks all that bad - just different to what we were expecting. Whether the unveiled new design is a breach or not I don't know.

Well. I guess you have to expect it when the building design changes every six months and runs years and years over the initial expected completion date that someone somewhere is going to eventually just shrug and say 'fuck it, just get it done'.

it wasn't approved? If I'm not mistaken, isn't Zenith a fully private development? I thought this was the Zenith thread not the Equus thread. As iirc Equus, (not Zenith) was the one that was a public& private sector partnership development where the govt were the ones who put it through for development.......

See the information on the previous page - they have deviated from the approved design (planning permission) and as such are facing a fine (although the fine is not really significant enough to force their hand and make changes that would really improeve the aesthetics of this building).

the fine must be less than paying the wages to make the thing look good.
