Increased Frequency to Bangkok to Mark Anniversary of Cooperation between Thai Airways and Moscow Domodedovo Airport

Thai Airways increased frequency from current three flights Bangkok – Moscow (Domodedovo) – Bangkok to four to be operated on Saturday. This destination will be served by a more capacious aircraft than previously – Boeing 777-300 thus increasing market offering of the airline by 57%.

TG 975 Moscow (Domodedovo) – Bangkok (Suvarnabhumi) Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday 18:15 07:05
TG 974 Bangkok (Suvarnabhumi) – Moscow (Domodedovo) 10:35 16:45

Thai Airways has been operated to Moscow Domodedovo Airport since November 1 2005. Five years of cooperation between the airline and the airport saw about 800 flights operated and 320 thousand passengers carried.

Thailand is not the only destination connected to Moscow by Thai Airways. The biggest capitals of Asia-Pacific region as Kuala-Lumpur, Singapore, Yangon as well as Sidney, Melbourne, Pert and Brisbane in Australia can be reached by Thai Airways planes thanks to connecting flights through one of the best airports in the world - Suvarnabhumi (Bangkok).

Moscow Domodedovo Airport is the largest airport of Russia. Its market share in total passenger traffic in Moscow Aviation Hub makes 46%. At the moment 76 partner airlines (48 foreign including 12 representing the CIS States and 28 Russian) connecting over 243 destinations operate flights all over the world. The unique route network covered by Domodedovo partner airlines provides for 101 exclusive destinations. In 2009 18,7 million passengers benefited from Domodedovo services. Domodedovo Airport has been chosen for operations to Moscow by member airlines of two world aviation alliances: Star Alliance and oneworld.

Nothing wrong with the floor, but the roof is too low.

I like SVO's new terminal D as it is modern, clean and clear. I'm especially impressed by the roof of those passport control hall. The roofing of the the central acess road looks great too.

^ Well, sidney_jec, you are the one with the blind eye, as you have obviously never seen a floor with natural stone before. The floor is all shiny (see the reflections) and actually almost too slippery. Basically you can eat from it.

I think it's totally okay, especially compared with the procedure up until early July, when you had to take the Bus for these 300 Meters, as the connection between Terminals D and E was not opened in time for the opening of Terminal D. There is one major inconvenience though: 9 out of 10 times, the automatic walkways are out of order. Maybe I am flying during the wrong times (eraly morning, late evening) though.

I like it. The roof in the main hall looks great and so does the floor.

The parts I am not so sure about is the roofing in the lower levels, as it seems to be something I have seen in 1980s style buildings here. It has a very sterile look in that format, but its not uncommon to see that in some parts of airports.

Overall I am impressed. I really want to go to Moscow and Saint Petersburg. Both are amazing cities. Its a pity I cant speak or read Russian so I might have some issues lol
