im following the threat since it was created, sometimes i even go to the russian one, but, i dont speak russian, and i would like to know if theres any renovation plan for the terminal F, looks very old-fashoned, as well as i've heard that the inside is nither roomy nor functional. so, what do you know about that?

Terminal F is old, and there were plans for reconstruction, but it was supposed to start after terminals D and E would be in operation, now both are functioning but reconstruction of F is still pending. But i should say they did some work inside, its not so bad as many people say. Its not dark, because it was renovated with light grey panels inside. New Duty Free shops were opened aswell. Now all 3 terminal are united via both clear zone and public areas. So even if you fly from F, you can walk and use D and E, all Duty Free shops and all services of 3 terminals. I just think that they dont have money for a total reconstruction now, anyway F is not so bad inside now, just the exterior looks old and dirty, but inside is fine, not so modern but clean and not dark )

Here it is:

The passport control hall in the arrival zone is awful... Well, the registration zone is really bad too: too much crowd, unordered queries, crush. The main hall is spacious, but it is really confusedly planned. I can only guess what a disaster was there before new terminals were opened.

I wonder, what is wrong with a main hall structure? Terminal F is 30 years old, it is quite good, what are you expecting? Just look at Rome Fiumicino, Prague T-1, Berlin SXF or Terminal 2 at CDG in Paris (i am not even telling about Orly), then you wont say T-F is awful.

Feb 2011. Unordered pushing each other crowds on checking and registration on departure, 40 minutes in queries to passport check in the claustrophobic small hall on arrival. Then jumping across the luggage tape for the bag dropped down on the floor to the inner side of the tape with no other access to this part of the floor. It was a nice exercise: jumping across the moving tape trying to avoid luggage moving on it than repeat it with the bag in the hands.

You said it is OK before. It is not OK. The main hall is large, but luggage checking zones are too small and really stupidly organized.

I'm wondering why VN & SU don't code-share on each others flights as they are both from from SkyTeam, VN can feed some flights into SU flights and vice versa. Perhaps they operate out of different airports? Is there a possibility that VN might move to the SkyTeam HUB at SVO from DME?

Yes, these airlines operate from different airports, VN from DME and SU from SVO, one year ago there were talks about VN moving to SVO, but later they decided to stay in DME, i dont know the reason but i guess they will continue operating from different airports in near future.

In Wikipedia we can see that info, but nothing more, i couldnt find any info about that, but during Hugo Chavez's several visits to Russia, he always talked about opening of direct flight, but still nothing happened

In Wikipedia in ROUTES we can see:
Russia
Moscow - Domodedovo International Airport (2011)
Rusia
Moscú / Aeropuerto Internacional de Moscú-Domodédovo(Finales de año)

So i really hope to have a new direct flight to South America, as we are still really bad connected!

Yes, I have visited SVO and DME over the years, but always with a stop in Cuba, I hope someday to make the flight SVMI-UUEE nonstop, whether in an IL-96 or an A340.

By the way I am Tupolev154. The thing is I forget my password and I had to create another account.

Grettings comrade!

Thanks for sharing!
By the way, are there problems transferring from terminal F to terminal D and vise versa? Just want to double check everything.

Equario, absolutely no problems, i decided to check myself ) Free access all the way, you can walk through D-E-F with no limits and nobody will stop you or control you, if slow walking i guess it will take around 20-30 min from F to D, if you walk faster it will take you around 10-15 min They made a hub as they promised, very convenient!
