So keep all three of them as separate, with one of them lying dead somewhere and this one as very active? I'm looking at consolidating all three so that there will be one resource for all aircraft, and it can allow a few comparisons between the three big Russian carriers in one thread. It will also allow forum activity to rise and improve over time since there are fewer less active threads to deal with, and it will allow constant activity on the strongest threads.

I don't actually care a lot whether it's one thread or several separate ones. This thread is active because there is stuff to discuss. You may name it 'Russian aircraft', but it's still going to be about SSJ.

FOD, as a user, I would much prefer that this thread keep it's quality rather than be flooded with pictures of other planes because frankly there is no discussion on Tupolev and Yakolev because those planes are dead.

If your mind is set on consolidation, perhaps limit it to two threads:
Russia- Aircraft production and development
Russia- Aircraft pictures

Standard 'life-extension' cyclic loads i believe, cabin pressurisation, bending, torsion... AFAIK current SSJ's fatigue life is 20000 hours, and the goal is 70 thousand.

I think now that Sukhoi has finally begun to address the reliability issues of the early SSJ's, this plane could be on its way to surprising success.

Here's why: the passenger cabin offers more "elbow room" than other small regional jets. It's certainly a lot more than the Bombardier CS100, Embraer E-Series, and Mitsubishi MRJ. One wonders could this be quite popular in China on flying shorter regional routes.

UAC is reported to be holding negotiations about civilian aircraft export to Peru as their President Ollanta Humala is visiting Moscow. No specifics yet whether it's about SSJ or smth else. Would love to see Sukhoi's further expansion in Latin America.

Le Superjet 100 débarque en Europe

Un an après avoir franchi l'Atlantique, le Superjet 100 va enfin franchir l'Oural. A partir de 2015, le biréacteur régional du constructeur russe Sukhoi Civil Aircraft Corporation (Scac) sera opéré par la compagnie charter belge VLM Airlines. Ce sera une première en Europe de l'Ouest. Jusqu'ici, les SSJ100 ne sont entrés en service qu'au sein d'opérateurs venant de la Communauté des Etats indépendants (CEI) et chez le mexicain Interjet.

Il ne s'agit pas pour autant d'une nouvelle commande pour Scac – ou plus exactement pour le consortium Superjet International qui gère la vente et le soutien de l'avion pour « l'hémisphère occidental ». VLM Airlines va louer ses avions au géant du leasing russe Ilyushin Finance Co. (IFC). Le 29 octobre, elle a signé une lettre d'intention (LoI) pour la location opérationnelle de deux SSJ100 sur une durée de 12 ans, avec des options pour deux avions de plus. Des droits pour dix appareils supplémentaires sont aussi inclus.

VLM Airlines a opté pour la version SSJ100-95LR « Long Range », capable de parcourir 4 578 km. C'est 1 530 km de plus que la version standard. Le Superjet accueille 98 passagers en configuration standard monoclasse. La compagnie belge exploitait jusqu'ici des biturbopropulseurs Fokker 50 de 50 sièges. Le détail des routes desservies sera dévoilé plus tard.
