The SSJ100 needs to turn its eyes to Asia and Latin America, it is affordable, reliable as a tank and with cutting edge technologies.

I foresee a future with Cubana for example, they would be a perfect match for route expansion with the embargo about to become history.
It is strange, Cubana has not orderedSSJ-100 yet, instead they have ordered AN for their regional operation.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) — A branch of Russia's United Aircraft Corporation is negotiating the delivery of 5 Sukhoi Superjet 100 (SSJ-100) aircraft to the Irish CityJet airline, a number of sources familiar with the deal said Sunday.
Not entirely sure if this is an order for 15 jets with 5 coming next year for starters either. Maybe it is only 5 total.

Not sure _at all_ about the financing aspect but lots of Russian banks lease jets to Russian airlines in Russia and via Dublin based leasing entities so why not lease a jet IN Dublin to a Dublin flying entity for a change. VTB or VEB?? and Sberbank are hotly tipped to help in this respect. Transaero birds with EI reg all to return to Dublin by end 2015 as part of the deal. No crap and no silly paperwork for any lessors.

Western parts for the SSJ are no longer to be embargoed or in any way supply restricted as part of a deal over Russian rockets required _most urgently_ by Arianespace in French Guiana. This bit still to be announced _formally_ by the way and it may never be announced formally but Cityjet need it in writing just in case.

CityJet to Take Delivery of 15 Superjet SSJ100

Airline says it has option on a further ten 98 seat aircraft
Dublin, Tuesday 13th October, 2015:

CityJet, the Irish European regional airline, today announced that it has agreed to take delivery of 15 Superjet SSJ100 passenger aircraft from Superjet International, commencing next year.

Superjet International (SJI) is a joint venture between Alenia Aermacchi, part of the Finmeccanica Group of Italy and the Russian Sukhoi corporation.

CityJet Executive Chairman Pat Byrne said: “We are very excited to be the very first airline in Europe to order this ‘’game-changing’’ aircraft that delivers a level of comfort, plush interior design and cabin capacity that is far superior to all of its competitors. This is a very versatile new generation jet which will fulfil our requirements with a capability to operate at smaller airports such as our hub at London City Airport and offer significant advantages in fuel efficiency, emissions ratings and noise reduction.”

The Executive Chairman added: “We intend introducing the SSJ100 on charter activity in 2016 and will place it on our London City route network in 2017. We believe our customers will love this jet,” he added.
The SSJ 100 seats 98 passengers and is the first aircraft in its class to offer five abreast seating in a generous 32” seat pitch. Combined with a wider seat and a cabin height of over 2m, the SSJ100 offers more cabin and overhead bin space than competitors. The SSJ100 utilises the latest in design and flight technology from key manufacturers such as Snecma (engines) and Thales (avionics) from France and Goodrich (wheels) and Honeywell (auxiliary power unit) from the USA. The interior benefits from the Italian design house of Pininfarina. The aircraft achieved European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) certification in February 2012.

CityJet has agreed to take four aircraft in 2016 with the delivery of an additional 11 throughout 2017. The airline has also taken options on an additional ten aircraft.

Congratulations to Sukhoi and SJI. Best of luck to Cityjet in operating this aircraft and let us hope it is a success for all parties involved.

I personally think the SSJ-100 should be selling in much larger numbers, only being held back by the sanctions against Russia and the stigma of Russian airplanes in the West.

Unlike the Bombardier C-Series, Embraer E-Jets and now the Mitsubishi MRJ, the SSJ-100's much wider fuselage makes it a more pleasant experience for passengers, who won't feel so claustrophobic inside the SSJ-100. And it appears the SSJ-100 could eventually be adaptable for a smaller version of the Pratt & Whitney PW1000G PurePower geared turbofan engine, too.

Wrong.
Cabin width, inside, widest place
Superjet 323 cm
CSeries 328 cm

It is true that the others are narrower:
E-jet 274 cm
Mitsubishi RJ 276 cm.

Okay, I stand corrected. But it's still way better because with the 323 cm width, you won't feel claustrophobic on the type of thin, longer routes this type of plane will often fly (try flying a Bombardier CRJ 700 or 900 for a couple of hours).

Emercom's SSJ
I think that's the only plane with certificate name on it (RRJ-95 instead of SSJ100)
