I hope Interjet finds success with this aircraft, or Sukhoi will fail with the Superjet 100 being a mainstream regional jet.

Interjet's livery on the SSJ-100 looks really wonderful indeed. I wonder though if any of the SSJ-100s have any PTV on board, if not also AVOD. And, can a SSJ-100 be able to accommodate lie-flat seats for the Business Class cabin?

Heads of Agreement on Sukhoi Superjet 100 Delivery Signed between SCAC and Ilyushin Finance Co

Moscow, June 17. On June 17 2013 in the framework of the 50th International Paris Air Show (Le Bourget, France) Sukhoi Civil Aircraft Company and Ilyushin Finance Co (IFC) signed the Heads of Agreement (HoA) for delivery of twenty Russian Sukhoi Superjet 100 aircraft.

The Agreement envisages the financing by IFC of leasing of fifteen Sukhoi Superjet 100 in basic modification SSJ100/95B for the South East Asia and the Middle East customers.

Other five aircraft in Long Range modification (SSJ100/95LR) are planned for further leasing to potential customers. The Parties agreed that the deliveries to Ilyushin Finance Co would start in 2015.

Deliveries of the Russian aircraft are being financed through the dedicated Programme of the Russian Government on financial (guarantee) support for Russian industrial exports and high-tech products. The support is provided by the Government to banks extending credits to customers of Russian products.

The SSJ has more firm orders than the CSeries to date. The CSeries is too expensive for majority of regional carriers. Relatively, it sells way better than other modern Russian/Ukrainian airliner like the Tu-214, An-148 and An-158. I doubt if the Mitsubishi MRJ project will sell more than the SSJ and if the ARJ21 would even takeoff again. The real threat to this is the next generation (to some level even the current generation) Embraer E-jets. Some urgent points to improve on the SSJ is dispatch reliability and parts/aftermarket services.

This is not about making comparisons. After all, what does it say about the SSJ if we compare it to currently inferior types like the Tu-204/214 or the ARJ21. It needs to stand on its own merit, and unfortunately, the evidence against the SSJ is compelling. Besides needing to improve on dispatch reliability and aftermarket services, SSJ will be made obsolete by the newest and next generation jets, which will come online real soon. While not direct competitors, the efficiency and cost savings of the A320NEO and 737MAX brought on by the new LEAP-1X and P&W GTF engines will allow an airline to operate at slightly greater cost but carrying more than twice the passengers that an SSJ can.

Lao Central SSJ 100-95 Cockpit - Flight from Vientiane Wattay (VTE) to Luang Prabang (LPQ), Lao PDR

Cockpit view from Lao Central's sole Sukhoi SuperJet SSJ 100-95B registered as RDPL-34195 while operating service LF71 from Vientiane Wattay International Airport (VTE) to Luang Prabang (LPQ). The flight took place in May 2013. Upon arrival to LPQ an additional orbit south of the airport was required due to traffic (Lao Airlines ATR-72) and bossy arrivals ATC. Upon final to rwy 23 you can see the Mekong River underneath. Thanks to the friendly Lao Central crew for permission to joining the flight deck. Footage uploaded in HD and sorry for the dirty lens.
