Leonardo DiCaprio reveals plans for private island Blackadore Caye in Belize

Leonardo DiCaprio has recently unveiled his plans for his private island, . The renowned actor and environmental activist has teamed up with the Four Seasons to develop the 104-acre tropical private island into a conscientious exclusive eco luxury resort.

DiCaprio had originally discovered the island on a vacation in 2004 while staying at the ultra-luxury resort Cayo Espanto. DiCaprio purchased Blackadore Cay Belizewith Cayo Espanto owner Jeff Gram in 2005 for a reported $1.75 million. The two have now begun drawing up plans with Four Seasons to create a five-star luxury resort based on sustainable design and environmental conservation.

Leonardo Dicaprio Belize island is located off the coast of Belize and is situated between the Belize coast and famous luxury vacation hotspot Ambergris Caye. It is also minutes away from the world renowed Belize Barrier Reef. The private island resort will be designed around the environment and carefully integrated to the unspoiled surroundings. Leonardo DiCaprio intends for the eco luxury private island to serve as a benchmark for testing innovative “green” technology and natural energy sources such as water, sun and wind.

The Leonardo Dicaprio island in Belize is reportedly designed to include an eighty room luxury hotel with private beach villas, spa services and fine dining restaurants. The private island will also include a solar-paneled airstrip to provide additional power. The private island will also include an exclusive collection of private villas with private pools and direct access to beaches. These discreet and extremely lavish private villas will cater to an A-list clientele and possibly several famous friends of DiCaprio.

Mayan Islands development in Ambergris Caye, Belize

The Mayan Islands is the latest project to hit the exclusive Ambergris Caye in Belize. Though currently in construction stages, Mayan Islands expects to debut four private villas, one Mansion, beach club and luxury Cove homes by the end of 2009. A marina is designed for private yachts and access to yacht charters for all guests on the Mayan Islands. The Marina is projected to be the largest mega-yacht marina in the world, with 400 slips holding up to 150′ yachts and additional space for 328′ yachts.

The Mayan Islands will also be home to three luxury hotels, with projects developing from prestigious names like the Ritz, Canyon Ranch and St. Regis. All properties and yacht slips will either be privately owned or available through the exclusive rental program.

Now is the time to take advantage of the Mayan Islands‘ opportunity. Several properties have already sold and the Mayan Islands development team is offering terrific option programs for interested investors. During the option period, owners will earn a 50% split of the rental fees and once an end owner purchases they will enjoy 100% of the rental fees. Other bonus programs are in development with Quintessentially personal concierge and NetJets private jet services.

The Mayan Islands of Belize proposes a “community of minimal urban impact where unique contemporary dwellings, boutique low density hotels and resorts as well as beach club facilities focus in the preservation of the natural resources.” Indeed, its location in the Ambergris Caye, one of Belize’s crown jewels for ecoluxury, has inspired developers to create sustainable designs and use renewable energy for both the private villas, luxury resorts and overall construction of the island. Stay tuned for more information as the Mayan Islands continues to develop into what is sure to be one of the most sought after luxury vacation destinations in the world.

Cerros Sands in Corozal Belize

A Prestigious, Private Caribbean Waterfront Community on the Cerros Peninsula in Corozal, Belize. Land prices start at $19,000 and some beachfronts are priced as low as $49,000.

See the website www.cerrossands.com

Cerros Sands Limited is proud to offer Cerros Sands, a fully zoned, deed-restricted, deep-water channel accessed mixed-use residential community.

We invite you to consider exploring this fantastic opportunity to live, work or play in one of the premier planned communities in all of Belize. Whether you are considering the purchase of a primary home, second home, retirement, investment or recreational property, Cerros Sands offers it all.

The developer presents model homes on Beachfront, Beachview and Channelside parcels (with allowance for your own private dock), in addition to various commercial business opportunities intended to both support and add value to the Cerros Sands community at large. Imagine all of the Caribbean at your doorstep plus all of the conveniences of home in a setting most people can only dream about.

We are proud to offer to you a Pre-Construction Pricing Program for The Villas at Cerros Sands. This 20 unit Beachfront condominium / resort development will be situated on a premier parcel at Cerros Sands. It is sure to be one of the best dollar-for-dollar values offered anywhere in the Caribbean. Each of these stunning 1400 (interior square foot units) are currently pre-construction priced at $149,000 for the lower level and $159,000 for the second story. We are proud to announce that The Villas will be 100% solar powered (with provision for backup-power) and thus completely off the grid.

Complete financing packages are available for land purchases and/or single family home construction. The developer fully cooperates with Brokers and Realtors.

The Cerros Sands community is conveniently located 11 miles southeast of Corozal Town, where the Mayan Riviera on the Yucatan Peninsula of Mexico meets the "Belizean Riviera", composed of astonishingly diverse inland, coastal and tropical island wonders. Consider berthing your boat or yacht in a serene, sheltered and utterly convenient harborage located at your very own dream home in one of the most beautiful islet coastal settings in Belize. Adding to your convenience is the community's proximity to Chetumal, the largest and most rapidly growing city in Southern Mexico.

Until recently, the “Cerros Peninsula" had remained virtually uninhabited since the Golden Age of the Maya, circa 900 AD. Several Mayan Pyramids still stand in the jungle southwest of Cerros Sands. Although they have been officially “discovered” and much of the site remains undisturbed, there are undoubtedly more relics and treasures to be found. Centuries later, Christopher Columbus (or, according to some, Cortez) became the first European to discover Cerros. Possessed at various times by the Spanish, Dutch and English, the area is rich in history. The region was also well known to both Caribbean pirates of the 17th and 18th centuries as well as to whalers in the 19th century.

Subsequent to the commencement of our community at Cerros Sands, we have seen a dramatic and consistent rediscovery of the Cerros Peninsula which has led to a beehive of new development activity on the peninsula, as well as in other nearby locations.

Belize is actually the talk of a lot of people here in the USA. I think that most of us who watch "Animal Planet" or "The Discovery Chanal" fell in love with Belize since we started watching the reservoir for the Jaguars. A lot of American do a lot of studies in Belize and there are quiet a few missonaries who are friends of mine who have recently moved to Belize.
The point here is that you will see a lot of projects like this here in Belize. There is going to be a wave of Americans moving to this peaceful country to retire. Belice reminds me of the caribbean cost of Nicaragua.
Super duper beaches.
Beautiful belice, I will definetly come to scooba dive here soon.
