great advice. you should have seen photos of the place 7 years ago when all this was desert - talking about looking human...

everybody would like to see more greenery, ideally by tomorrow morning... if it just was that easy between all the construction going on. I personally find the marina has a lot of character, but that's everybody's personal view.

Looks to be atleast 600m, if not more!!!
Well, take a good look at the pictures and the buildings just in the back (Dubai Marina). They are being dwarfed by this tower. I think if this render is correct the building could be at least 800 meters in height, but maybe even 1000.

I expect the building, if built, will be in the region of 600m to 650m

That's nice and all, but the renders are not representative in this way. Can you agree? The tower itself is by the way very nice and original.

Yes, the render does make it look ridiculously tall and wide!

Not neccessarily, although as I mentioned on the other thread, the tower did not resurrect. That (probably) is just one of the three competition entries from ATKINS offices (Dubai, UK, China).

The one with the turbine that won was probably from the UK studio cause they said they are integrating a wind turbine on top. This leaf-spring one could be from the China studio. Afterall the poster of those on flicks was Chinese.

Does anyone still have that image of the tallest block masterplan? I think it was made by malec, but I'm not 100% sure.

Is this what you're looking for?
