i wouldnt say ugly, its an architectural feature. it gives the otherwise flatroof a feature which will be seen on skyl;ine.
it will be backlit at night and should look cool.

I would love to see a night render of 163 Castlereagh.
Grocon should release new renders and update the towers website.

I think it'll turn out alright actually. And it's quite different to everything else we've got, so it'll be a nice addition.

I think Fox 1 seems to bag just about every new development (and plenty of old ones) in Sydney

It was the JB Hifi of it's time late 80's/1990's and the style. You can tell in the building itself Once upon a time every major shopping centre had one. The remaining stores when they went bust became The Good Guys.

With the former city store, it was broken up into several shops, and sadly fell into disrepair with the discount shops.

I have better memories of that stretch - I watched Jurassic Park at the Greater Union there - small compared to George Street and without the crowds, playing games in Timezone (where the chinese run discount shop was) next door, Pizza Hut and more. Were talking about 15 years ago.

The cinemas closed not long after that, and thats when things went down the gurgler.

We will see something good for the site. Sydney City Council want a landmark building for the site.

From the park outside the art centre looking down the river. I think a few members of here have been there with a camera.
