ha ha...I get it, but for those who live in Seattle, I-5 is a nightmare, and a lot of the problem is old-time Seattle drivers who don't understand it is a high-speed freeway. (Last time I was in town I tried to enter I-5 behind someone trying to merge into 65 mph traffic at 30 mph!...get a clue!!!)

I drive a reasonable speed that comforts with how the road looks. So generally 10 - 20km/h faster than the speed limit. Though i am by far not a racer or so.
On the motorway, i drive about the speed limit, 140km/h eats a lot of fuel compared to 120km/h, and my car is fuel efficient, so why not use it?

On highways,I stick to 130. But on rural roads,or in cities,I dont really care about the speed.

i usually drive 10-20 above. but when i see some 60 or 50 km/h speed limit at open road, then i know that something's possibly dangerous there so i reduce my speed. at motorway my speed is 110-150 (limit 130).
abroad i drive mostly under limits

I observe the limits as I have beter things to spend my money on than speeding fines (and I don't get them). On the motorway I might go up to 10kph over the limit. In the 80 zones I go 80. In 50 zones 50-53 with the exception of maybe 55-60 in some places. 30 zones I go 30.

Depends on what time and what road it is, on a urban motorway where the speedlimit is 100 and it's busy, you can't drive much faster. On the same road a night when you have the road almost for your own, it's about 120-130km/h
On rural motorways with a speedlimit of 120, i tend to go 130-140 in daytime and at night it might be 150-160. I don't see any danger in it.

On normal roads I usually drive 10 km/h too much, on motorways about 20.

There are lots of speed cameras in Spanish highways but they 'go off' at 132 km/h (120 is the limit + 10%) so most of the people drive at 120-130 km/h.

I always drive at 120 in highways, though it's hard to maintain the constant speed so sometimes I reach 130 before realizing about it and getting again to 120. The same for the rest of roads, with the exeption of the one I take every day at which I drive a bit faster than the permitted speed limit

Right, speed cameras. They are called 'radar' in Spanish, so I thought that they were called 'radar' also in English.

Radar is a common word in Dutch too.

When you'll see "Radar controle" it means your speed can be checked with mobile speed cameras. Those speed cameras are always sneaky positioned, in dumpsters along the road, behind trees, or behind signs. Although most upcoming drivers warns you with a signal if they have seen one.

Here nearby, there is a 25km road over a dike (N306), with always very little traffic, but speed limit is 80km/h, but the road is always straight out, wide open view, and deserted, so you can drive easily 100 - 120km/h with no problem, but you always have to bear in mind that there can be some traffic cop behind a dumpster.

In my view the speed limit is the speed limit. If you want to regard it as some kind of cat and mouse game then you had beter be prepared to get stung with some hefty traffic fines. Just be prudent when youre coming down my street please. Don't want to end my life minced into a grill. And......don't stick to my rear bumper when I'm obeying the speed limit. If you want to race go somewhere else.
That's my rant for now.

Okay, but speed limits have to be reasonable then. Here is a 30km/h limit on some straightout viaduct, while the whole road looks like 80km/h. I don't think you can expect people actually driving 30 there.
