Are the GAM going to renew the old Hidjaz train station to a top notch intermodal terminal? Maybe, but that terminal should deal with more than a million commuter daily in the near forthcomming years.
There must be some plan to relocate the bus terminal, after all the city won't be left without one, but maybe this plan is integrated with a bigger scheme plan involving all of Amman! Actually it is a good decision, as keeping a bus station in the middle of a cultural center is an assured recipe for failure

Agreed.

Nothing about this project worries me (at the moment)

The design sounds great and exhibits the urban lifestyle in many aspects. The project consists of six main elements: The Hashemite Plaza Regeneration Project, Ragadan Terminal Rehabilitation Project, an exhibition center, a business center, a concert plaza, and a theme park.

Project’s Land uses

All of the design elements is clear what the destined to be, except the Ragadan Terminal one. Other elements are great; a state of the art exhibition center, a bizarre business center adjacent to a large concert plaza (Businesses & concerts = a lot of $ as you know!), at the end of the project the theme park will reside and has a roller coaster & an observation wheel. I’m not sure what the views this wheel will offer in the bottom of the valley but it should be high enough to offer an interesting vista.

The business district

The exhibition center

The concert plaza

The theme park

I’m sure that you are with me that the environs of the project site is not adequate surround such project, you know, it’s chaotic, timeworn area. I guess these areas will get a regenerations projects also later.

My friend, till now the only thing was commenced is the Hashemite Plaza Regeneration Project. The rest of the project shall begin soon after the final design is approved and the negotiations with investors reach the green light phase.

New concept design!

Hey guys!

I've found a new great concept design for this project and posted it to Jordan's new real-estate and development projects page on the Facebook, WorldScrapers - Jordan. It's just an amazing design done by Calthrope Associates. You can check it out here, https://www.facebook.com/pages/World...16817341691024

cheers!

How amazing would it also be if they'd destroy those ugly houses going up the citadel and rebuild them like this:

It would look even more historic and the contrast with the modern buildings would be amazing.
