Sears Tower Renamed into Willis Tower?

According to some articles the Sears Tower in Chicago will be renamed into "willis Tower"

http://www.chicagotribune.com/busine...,7014962.story

http://www.suntimes.com/business/147...031209.article

what do you think about that?

i personally say: this tower will be the Sears Tower forever, nothing will change that!

I'm more worried about the silver colour, black is the way to go! And that box better not be to visible, you don't mess with the classics....

It doesn't matter. 99% of people will still refer to the building as Sears.

In London, for example, everyone still calls Tower 42 the "NatWest Tower", even though it changed its name a decade ago.

The problem is that everyone is used to Sears and Willis is a goofy sounding name. But I voted for it not mattering to me because it really doesn't.

Just because we are used to Sears Tower.

If a new 500m willis tower would had been proposed for Chicago, then everybody would love it.

willis tower may sound funny, but it don't sound worse than Trump.

I agree with most people here. People will still call it Sears Tower.

Isn't there some sort of Law that protects such important and famous buildings from getting their names changed? What if they sold the Empire State Building and the new owners decided to call it WalMart Tower, for example?
