Awesome collection there, lots of nice pics of nice areas of Manchester. I have never actually got into the city before, only visited relatives on the edge in Mossley.

Thanks El Mariachi . The urinals are quite common in the city centre they are designed to be used by late night pub and clubbers.Better that than peeing in the streets.

Best Manchester thread ever! Good mix of old and new.

I really like the modern bridge. Is that Media City in the background?

Oh and how big is Manchester´s city centre?

It's not huge, this map shows the area most people would consider to be the city centre, maybe 2km from one side to the other

Salford Quays and Old Trafford are a few cms to the West of this map.

There are some nice shots here showing the different people of Manchester

You should see the ones we have in Reading they are underground during the day and then rise to the surface at midnight. It's hilarous seeing them pop up out of no where, it reminds me a bit of the tardis from Doctor Who.

rising urinals. All I got to say to that (and to quote the Guiness guys)--Brilliant!

But seriously, this city looks amazing. I am going to London in May--this looks like a great city to take a detour.

Terrific Manchester thread! The quality of the photos is just great and they do show Manchester in a very good light. Thx for sharing,

Didn't you get down Coronation Street at all?
