Actually, they will have a very close view of their neighbours!

You'll be able to talk to the person in the building next to it just by shouting! You'd still be audible!

Yea, we have a lot of 200m-280m towers due to our height limit restriction. Then again having the tallest building does not determine whether a skyline has attractive aesthetics/cultural vibe of the city. A good skyline just needs to have a decent balance of high and low points. What makes our skyline unique is the marketability of our buildings' geometric shapes if you take a closer look. We have a rectangle(Republic Plaza), square(Raffles Quay), cylindrical(UOB), triangle(OUB), sail(The Sail), sloping pentagon(Maybank). Soon we'll have a right-angled triangle(OFC), pointed diamond(8 shenton) and another round of shapes with the 5 MBFC towers.

^ Is it actually attached to OUB or just very close? It's not a bad tower in and of itself, but I think it's a great shame that it will detract from the slenderness and soar of Singapore's finest skyscraper.

I think is attached..... Not very sure. In the picture it looks like its just very close because you can still see the windows of the old tower.

I'm not happy about this either, it's like the built something along the Big Ben in London. That's always a bit weird, if not a shame. But I don't think this is Singapore's finest skyscraper. You have the Gateway and the UOB Plaza, that are really examples of great architecture. I have never seen OUB Centre in that group.
